Red seems to be the popular color here. My last car was red and I just wasn't happy with it. Thought I'd try something different this time.

There's a car show over here in Alexandria this weekend. I'm bringing my 8 and if any of you want to come, you're welcome Let me know because I have to send you the sign up papers. There will be over 200 cars and trophies.

Flooding in LA.
I live in Lafayette, and am considering puchasing the RX8, but am concerned with this floding problem I keep reading about.

Has this happened to any of our Louisiana peple?

I've had my 8 for 2 months and have not had this problem. It seems that flooding is caused by cold start/stops. If you're careful about making sure that you warm the engine before you cut it off then you shouldn't have any problems. There are lots of other threads on this subject if you want to do more "research" though.

I absolutely LOVE mine more and more everyday. :D

I'm in Ruston, go to Tech, woohoo, but I visit my parents in Alexandria basically every weekend. I have a red 8 and my boyfriend has a first gen. We also got a friend in town with a first gen.

I live in Metairie (New Orleans basically). Just got a Nordic Green RX-8, Touring Package, Splash Guards, and just recently installed the MP3 unit and put in all weather mats.

Where ya at Louisiana!!
