Anyone in Texas received $500 Debit card yet!
For those that qualified for the $500 debit card from Mazda, have you received the card yet? Others have received theirs (in other states) but I'm wondering if Mazda is sending the cards out to certain regions first. People have said the envelope marking is nondiscreet. I just hope I didn't accidently throw mine away by mistake.

I got mine. Have not used it though. There are a bunch of rules and you can get screwed if you use it wrong (i.e. you debit more than the remaining balance so they negate the card etc.). Also, supposedly not all merchants can take the debit card even though it is AMEX.

Got mine, its almost used up.
Have not had any problems yet using it. There is a website that you can use to check the balance. Just be responsible and you shouldn't have any problems overcharging it.

It was part of the deal for those that bought their RX-8 before the quoted horsepower was revised, and who opted to keep the car. If you didn't buy before October of last year, it doesn't apply.

If you ordered before the cutoff, you would have gotten a letter from Mazda offering you the choice of returning the car for a full refund, or receiving a $500 gift car and free routine maintenance for the duration of the standard warranty.
If you want more information, dig back through the RX8 Discussion forum, or use the search function - it was discussed to death back at the time. Here's the thread that broke the story.
