New to the area of the RX8. Just bought a 2005 Black Cherry "Chikita" model for my wife. would love to come to one of these events. I am real new to this rotary thing. Myself I drive a SRT-4 which is a turbo and i have modded it to a little over 300whp and I am wanting some help to get the RX8 up to speed with me. I love the car other than the price. Any help would be appriciated and cant wait to meet some of u guys and gals.

Welcome to the club Uncivilracer!
I'm sure you mean "Shinka" when referring to your wife's new car. I'm excited to have another female owner in the club and look forward to meeting her. We have meets fairly regularly so come on out and join us when you can.
The price is a small fee compared to how much fun your wife, and yourself, will have with this car. I don't doubt you two will be just like the couple in the commercial where they get up earlier and earlier every morning to beat the other person to drive the new car.
I'll leave the "modding to 300whp" to the guys on here. They can probably explain it better than me.
Where in the metroplex do you live? Check out the BBQ thread when you get a chance. Free food, great company and cool prizes -- how can you pass it up? :D

Cool. This is great. Took forever for the people to become friendly on the SRT and Cavalier boards we are apart of. We love going to meets and meeting new people so this will be a cool thing for us. She drove around in the car all day yesterday perfecting her 6 speed driving skills. She is estatic with the car.
We will be at the bar-b-que for sure and the thursday meets without problems. As for bringing the SRT, that is no problem at all. I will be taking it alongwith her in the 8 to the events. Im in love with my car as much as she is with hers now.
Thanks for the warm welcome and cant wait to meet some of you.

Yea that is sweet. What had been put on ur car. I liked the sound alot better than stock. I hate the stock sound horribly bad. It is way to quiet. I have a 3" dump exhaust with no cat on my SRT and it is loud. I like to hear it running myself. But my exhaust also added 27whp and I know there is nothing like that for the RX8 but I want the sound a little deeper.

i'm actually not looking the forward to the sound of my exhaust/high flow cat. I am loving the sound of the intake and turbo spool. I will still put it on though. DAMN need for more power, damn it all to hell.

see i dont know if i wanna go turbo on it since I already have a turbo car in the SRT4 and I just dont see me being able to get this car up to the SRTs horsepower. I just want decent power with sound to go with it.

I think its every other tuesday, so i guess not this week, but next (8/11/2005)
Yeah, i know it sounds smooth... but i am really getting used to the sound of a really quiet exhaust and really loud intake. Eitherway it doesn't matter... the exhaust and hi-flow cat will be going on this weekend.
Jenkins, do you have RPs High-Flow Cat? Any CEL Problems?

It's Ajax's job to start the BJ's thread...There is no rhyme or reason, we have had them monthly weekly bi-weekly....just depends on him.
