transmission is really sticky. hard to shift after 30k service, especially in the cold.
Rachel is having the exact same problem and her car is there right now too. She had her 30k service done the same week as i did at the same dealer. We're wondering if maybe someone put the wrong transmission fluid in the car or maybe didnt top it off.
All are welcome.

I'll be there. If they don't get it done today, I'm going to dump the rental "grampala" that I'm driving and drive the Miata.
The shifting isn't terrible, but just not right. It's a little crunchy. Reminds me of the beginnings of my original 93 miata needing a tranny rebuild at 160K.
Hopefully it's a fluid issue, and all will be resolved. If not, Town North and Mazda will take care of it. I'm not too worried.

In other news, for you newbies, if you really think you're coming to the meet, I'll make a point of letting the hostesses know where the RX8 club is.
BJ's Brewhouse in Addison. 1.5 blocks West of the Tollway on Beltline road, on the north side of Beltline.
You can also post up what you're wearing and we'll keep an eye out.

Okrahoma, lol. I love that and Arkanslaw. Classic!!!
I'll be there... don't know what I'll be wearing, but I'm the chick in the short red hair, usually blurting out something about dead babies.

Just heard back from town north. Apparently it was the wrong transmission fluid. They said they're getting fluid in tonight from somewhere and they should have it ready for tomorrow.

Hah! Mike must have called you before he called me. I just heard. No crappy rentals for the meet tomorrow.
PS: did I nail the problem on the first try, or what!?
