yea, doing it by yourself helps you feel confident that nothing will fall apart!

I ordered a Cobb through MM. I just pray that he gets off his *** and ships it before the 17th. Thats the week all this is going down! Im going to send the turbo out to BNR and have them upgrade the turbine and port the wastegate. They say its good to 330whp.

I saw a Silver '8 yesterday on 183A toll heading North from Leander/Cedar Park. I tried to catch up, but got snagged behind a pokey SUV, besides my exit was coming up. I exited Anderson Mill, you kept on..

I still need to order my cobb up to, think i have everything else ready, just need to plan where to put the gauges i was thinking like how mysql did it on the steering column, how are you going to do it? Phatom any time frames on when your installing ?

anyone know where to get good cheap silicone couplers?

I am planning to send my turbo out to BNR on Monday, said it should be a 14 day turn around. The projected week of the install will be May 17th. I took the week off to concentrate on doing it right. The gauge pod I am going with is the Lotek 3 gauge pod that will be flush mounted on the plastic piece above the stereo read out. I ordered my Cobb from MM about a week and half ago and Hund said it should be here within 2 weeks. Hopefully!! Need it to start the car. During this time, I will be switching to Royal Purple oil in the engine, tranny, and differential. I went through ATPturbo.com to get the silcone couplers and T-bolt clamps. Wasnt cheap, but well worth the money. My order came to $156. If you get the silcone couplers, make sure you get the T-bolt clamps also. 150% better than regular clamps and reg clamps will slice the silicone. I still need to order Fluids new injectors that will be on sale next week, and an ignition system. Was thinking BHR one but I think the Esmeril will be a better solution. Thoughts on that Czar?

Cool man! Welcome to the board and the purchase of the new money pit! This is the thread to find out whats going on around town so if you ever find any good cruise-ins for a Saturday night, let us know. We like to drive around and find good gatherings. Thinking we should hit up 1431 next Saturday if possible. Take the car out one last time before I turn her into a $35k rock!!! Lol!! Anybody thinking about doing the cruise Larry posted up on the 9th?

How long did it take to get you BHR ignition, is it plug and play or does it require soldering or anything?? I dont care which one I get really, as long as it does its job and will be here before the 17th. What RP oil are you running now?? Are you going to switch weights with the turbo or stay the same? I run GTX right now. I have been on this site so much the last couple weeks I saw a thread saying it was ok to run RP in rotaries now. Not sure how long thats been common knowledge but I just heard it! Lol!! If you get around to doing it that week, if you wouldnt mind I would like to stop by and catch at glance at what I am in for. I am just worried I have some missing pieces that arent going to be known until I need them. I bought the kit used and the guy did a **** poor job packing it. I would like to get new gaskets but no one has them.

Hey Czar, Im having 2nd thoughts of turboing the car. I still need about $2300 parts (Including BNR upgrade) to even start getting this thing installed, and the bank denied raising my line of credit.. Im too much of a perfectionist to do things half assed. If I decided against doing this, would you be interested in my MM Cobb?? I dont really want to cancel it, but if you dont want it, I prolly will. Let me know.

Aw man. Hate to hear it. You were on a roll there... probably better not to stretch yourself too thin!

You even had t-bolt clamps (way better than worm drive)

Ha!! Ya, I hear ya man. I really want this bad but like you said, its putting me real thin. I have the money to do it, but its the fact of, do I really wanna use every penny I have saved to fix up a car that I drive maybe once a week. Im not saying it would different if was my daily driver, but its just kinda scary spending everything you got. Im going through the finances tonight to see if there is something I can cut out to make this work. I havent given up on it yet since I have so much crap in the garage, just re-evaluating the situation!! Lol!!
