Battery Question

Battery Question
OK new question. As I mentioned since I just bought the car recently I'm not real sure how old the battery I have is - so am seriously thinking of just going ahead and getting a new one.
I'm a big fan of Optima batteries - having one in my Avalanche and two previous cars I've had.
Checked the Optima website and came up with a vehicle match for both red top and yellow top - but mentions "height adaptor may be required - check hood clearance".
Has anyone used these before and if so were there any "fit" issues. Obvously would like to keep it in the "battery box" but it's not a necessity.
Any Optima users out there?

Basically says you need a Optima Redtop 35r to fit without modifications, but a 34r has more cca and fits with a little work though it may be too big.

Just put my 35R in the other day as I wanted to try this type of battery(AGM).
I did use the height adapter that came with it which was just a small plastic tray that it sits in.
Some have had issues with getting damaged batteries(the redtop) from Amazon.com, but mine was fine and it was $144.00 with free shipping.

I got Duralast from Autozone a few months back for $70. It came with a plastic tray as well and it fit just fine. I'm going to test it today, the cars been sitting outside in the cold for the past week, we'll see how she starts today.
