With planning ahead as drastic as this, I better not hear as many excuses from the DFW crew to miss out on this trip this year! J/k, but seriously, any help is much appreciated, whether you plan on making the long trip out there or not! Thanks guys!

Aw thanks Joe! Does that mean you won't be joining us?! Don't be deterred by the Camry in my sig, I mean, they're everywhere and unavoidable...but if you have to deal with them anyway, it may as well be on the Dragon, right?! Yeah, that's lame, I got nothin...

Since you're the resident Dragon expert...any idea when they'll confirm the dates? I'm all for going out there, but just want to make sure I'm off of work. Plus, I can go visit my college roommate out there and get a ride in one of these!!

VERY nice! I can't say for sure when they'll confirm the dates, probably not until June or so. But I'm fairly confident that the dates shown will be what they end up with. The past two years (and I believe the years before that as well), the event was held Thursday-Saturday.
You should come, we need more to add to our caravan, gotta represent the Texas 8's! We usually drive over there Wednesday and return Sunday, so you'll need three days off (unless you take Monday too).
Nice pic, btw, I need to get in good with you so I can join...if there's time to break away from the Dragon events. Turns out that's REALLY tough to do...too much fun...

I'll most likely go up early and stay a few days with him and his wife then meet everyone on Wednesday night/Thursday.
And the great thing about riding in F-16's...no Camarys!! Or if there are, they're quite easy to "take care of"!!

Well if that's a hint for an invite, consider it open-I've gone as a passenger and I took Claire as my passenger last year, it's just as much fun. More people, regardless of car count, is always good! Gas is actually the majority of the trip cost-aside from that, registration, and hotel, there's really nothing else...
If I remember right, we put about 130 gallons of gas into our trip last year-it was $4.00 a gallon at that time so it was pretty expensive-hopefully it will be a little less this year! Still worth it though, I didn't mind at all

Bump-thanks to Scott and Joe for purchasing (and making me feel bad for being so cheap I only bought three)
But also: *NOTE* that due to the pricing/discounting error, the original 10 tickets/$28.00 has been changed to 11 tickets for $28.00
Wanted to call that out in case anyone missed it.
And here I go to buy more since I feel lame...
Thanks for the help everyone!

Since there was no DVD made, I thought I'd post this to give everyone a pretty good idea of what the Dragon holds. And yes, that is DFW's own 987HYS mastering the curves, handling the road like it's nothing:

This is not taken on the actual Tail of the Dragon, but on Cherohala Skyway-one of the many other fun "courses" in the area. It's a longer course that offers many curves less intense but just as much (if not more) fun because you can take them at higher speeds. Every course is intense and will not disappoint anyone looking to push the 8 to the limits while achieving an adrenaline rush of indescrible levels.
By the way Scott, excellent driving-way to rep the DFW 8's! (Unlike that tiny dot in the mirror that seems to have trouble keeping up...)
ZOOM ZOOM, ENJOY!!
