I seen a couple of Eight around Culebra one -TI Gray with a Veilside Kit, a yellow one in callaghan and 410 and a blue one down Benrus Blvd...Any of you'all members......

 

There's a member named MindTrip on here from SA, but I haven't seen him post in awhile. He's got a blue 8, not sure if it's the same blue you've been seeing or not.

dova the people in sa who have 8s dont seem big on get togethers. so this kinda thread doesnt seem to get many responses. mindtrip is the only guy ive met. there was a all make car meet at bennigans on wuzbach on thrusdays at 10pm but i dont know if it is still going on. i too have seen several 8s but none must know about this forum. i dont understand people who own this car and dont try to get more info about it through research or just interest.

 

I have actually run into several 8 owners here in town. Since I work at Star Furniture, whenever I see an 8 in the parking lot I go find out who it belongs to. Only 1 guy so far was on the forum. There is a base model 8 with a Veilside Kit and HUGE wing in the business park around the corner, but I've never met him. But if you guys can get a meet going, I'm in.

The one in OKC? I might because my brother and dad live there. My brother is a cop out there, which could be helpful if I feel like having a little fun up there.

 

The OKC BBQ was in April, or May... anyway, it's over. DFW is hosting a BBQ in Sept. In Arlington!!!

 

Just goes to show how much I've been able to get on here. Arlington, huh? Depends on what happens, since I might be moving to Houston or Dallas soon. But thanks for the heads up.

I just got my 8 about a month ago. I live in the Culebra 1604 part of town. I own a 05 vel red stock with spolier. I am going to be tinting the windows in a couple weeks. And I am looking into getting a body kit put on I just have to find one I like. Anyway if anyone wants to get together I am down for a gathering in San Antonio. I have seen a few driving around I am pretty sure a couple people that live in my neighborhood owe 8's cause I see them driving around alot at night. well if any one want to get together drop me a line at joker1012@sbcglobal.net

 

^^^ i would never take my 8 to the beach (even though a few times wouldnt matter). i would be up for a meeting also if it was after 7pm.

btw way im dying to go fishing at the coast. where did you go and was the seaweed bad in the water? is the weed back in the bays or just the beaches?

 

It was a blast on the beach. I went to mustang island a couple weeks back and this last weekend I was at north padre. The seaweed wasn't bad at all and I maybe it was the storm in the gulf, but the fishing was fantastic. I think it should be that way for the next week or so. If you have the time to go down to south padre nothing else in Texas beats it. I have no problem have a get together lets see if we can get a group together. It would be cool to get the san antonio chapter of the rx8 club going.

 

That sound like a good Idea ... My friend tells me alot of imports get together where the old walmart use to be at 151 and 410 on sundays maybe this suday we can all hang out .... any ideas

151 and 410 is a bit too far for a guy who lives in bulverde. i use to live over there though behind southwest research kinda. hope whoever goes has fun

hey I was driving around town yesturday and I saw a black 8 with purple hearts plates. anybody in here want to claim it. This thing in sept sounds like it is going to be fun wish I could go, but I am going to be moving out of town in about a month I am going away to school and i am taking my 8 with me.

 

where is it at. kinda depends on if i got on-call ect..

for everyone that missed out last night was great. About 5 teams and 45 different cars ended up showing up out there to show off their cars. we stayed out there for a couple of hours till the cops chased us off saying that it was a racing gathering. Anyway there was only two 8's out there I was hopeing more would show o well maybe next time. I will let you guys know the next location later in the week

 

Man I wanted to go but I had to come to work early at 7am and I though that because of the weather no one was going to go...

I talk to my friend he told me the other hangout spots are at bennigans at I10 and bestbuy at san pedro and 410... this week Im working 30Hrs overtime to pay for the stuff I got for the car...but for sure I be going next sunday :D ...

 

everyone started showing up between 9:30 and 10:00. I have heard about the other spots around town. I don't know which one I will be going to next week. I am looking for a car club to join so I am seeing what each team offers. but if you want to meet up just let me know where you will be.

I am looking to join a club because I am only leaving for about a year and I will be back through out the year, I am only going to be in school for part of the year but I will be back next summer and I should be done with school in '07 so it would be cool to join a club now that way I have people that I could look forward to hanging out with and showing off my mods when ever I come home.
