Central Texas RX Meet
Teleconfernce Announcement
Ok gang...I have a teleconference reserved.
The telephone number is 585-295-5551 . With an access code of RX7RX8. (797798) The service is located in Rochester NY so if you have LD you will be able to verify it on your bill. There are no other charges except for your LD time (I swear I have been using this service for the past year). I happen to have flat rate LD on my home service as well as cell phone BUT since many still don't have this kind of service we will make it after 8:00pm when the rates go down. So it has been set for 8:30pm on the 24th.
If you have something specific you want addressed let me know so that we can discuss it in the conference. At the moment I have pulled the following recommendations for this year's event:
Go Karts
Drag Racing
Raceway Driving
Hill Country Run
A meet with more that "Just" a run
Autocross
What I have not heard:
Road Rally
Food
Volunteers
Non-"CAR" related activities
Sponsors
Prizes
Donations
Press
Registration
Costs
Etc.
Larry (the Texas RX's marketing guy) and I have worked out the possibility (its just in the possible stage at the moment) where we can have a police escort for the hill country runs. Nothing like not having to stop for traffic lights or even other traffic. We can discuss the logistics and what this means in the teleconference.
Just some housekeeping notes: We are expecting a rather large number of people to attend so make sure that you are on time...its really annoying to everyone if you come in late and then we have to say everything all over again because someone missed something! Also we will wait about 10 minutes to begin because not everyone will arrive at the same time. When you do come on please state your name and where you are calling in from. Ex (Anthony from Austin). That will help keep everything straight. Also when you need to speak, please state your name and location, because not everyone will be able to recognize your voice either. Speaker phones don't work that great. If you are going to stay at your office and dial in, DON'T put the phone on hold. Doing so pumps out hold music for everyone and pretty much kills the conversation until you return or are disconnected.
See everyone there!!
