Crap I got a freakin huge ticket today!

I did something really stupid today. And I really regret it.

An older friend of mine got anew Infiniti M45. So we decide to...and in the process of us ...on the service road, we passed a cop on the highway.

Well I happened to be ahead..ahem win. Well, the cop pulled off the highway, and pulled me over for...

He was actually really nice considering he could of took me 'downtown' for ..., since the service road speed limit was 45, and I was going ***. (Really not smart, but it was, in my defense, a really straight empty road.)

But of course, he couldn't have clocked me. So he was just guessing. But the only reason he let me off was he used to own an Rx7, and knew about my 8. He was surprised it 'wound up so fast'. He mentioned he had a vette, and was trying to use his 6 speed tranny experience to guess how fast I was going since I said I was only in third gear ( what? I lost count...)

Anyhow, I got big speeding ticket. And I am so upset. But I guess it could have been worse.

he forgot to say a magic race track appeared in thin air, so in order to prevent the thread from being closed, he removed random words instead.

He's being careful because street racing threads are not allowed here. However we will allow ticket stories.

Details.....

So now that it is OK to post ticket stories, let's have the gruesome details....

How fast, how large a fine, and how are you going to plead...?

75 ina 45 says the ticket. I am going to plad guilty, and try to get defensive driving which I am really doubtying they will give me.

I am not going to protest since our little conversation about how I basically, was speeding, but at an undetermined speed. I know they carry recorders with them on traffic stops.

Just about every cop that pulls people over go easy on them because they owned an rx7, like the car, etc etc. I get all the dumb cops who have no idea about anything and give tickets for not having front license plates and BS like that. I'm glad I haven't been caught going ***, because once I do, I'll just be thrown in jail.

/rant, I hate my life at the moment.

Well I was in Crowley, but I got caught by a Fort Worth Cop. Lucky too cause Crowley cops are asses. he probably would of walked up to my window and just started maceing me or something. lol

I find out how much the ticket is today, and whether I will get the D.D. or not.

I got to learn the maximum that TXDOT is able to fine for a 97 in a 55 infraction on the Tollway at night in a construction zone is right around $500, I was relieved that they had a maximum. Not racing just enjoying the car. (the constrution speed limit was 45 and the signs say fines double at night)

$275 no Defensive Driving or Defered Disposition.

Mainly I don't want my insurance to go up. It's already high enough.

And yes, I am glad I didn't get caught at 135 in a 60! Oh well at least I didin't go to jail or get hurt.

Wow... now That's an expensive day! I've added $750 in 3 days, but not 1! I did have one day that I accumlated $650, but I got out of that one. Ya gotta love the loop holes. But then again if I added all 23 tickets I've ever had up, I could support a city! And to think I have a clean record now. :D

I just got a ticket for going 87 mph in a 55 also for not having my child in a car seat. Thing is that my child is over the 36 inch height requirement for Texas and is not legally required to be in a carseat. Yes my child was wearing his safety belt but Trooper was being an a**.. He gave me one ticket with these two violations on it. If one is illegal "child carseat" does that void the other one? Any info would be appreciated.

Hell I got pulled over in Lewisville for 85 in a 60 and they were super strict on the defensive driving guidelines 24 and under; you can do deferred for 30 and under though cost in Lewisville was $253.00. Good luck with the ticket.

That was more of a reference to the ticket size, not the fine; however, I think there is a range for the ammounts, and like 25, and over is all a certain price. But I'm not sure on that. It's not the fine I'm worreid about, it's just it going on my record.

But it sounds like you've had it much worse. lol
