Actually kinda "too bad" it wasn't in Crowley. I have a cousin that is on the PD in Burleson and my brother is on the Keene PD, if it were Crowley...they might have been able if they were willing to help you out. I also know a couple of the Dallas cops, but don't know anyone in FW. Sorry to hear about your ticket. $275 sucks, and I thought my ticket which ended up costing $150 was bad. Good luck with getting defensive driving. Maybe you will get a kind judge (who owned an RX7/owns an RX8 or loves rotary engined cars!!).

I wish that would work... The answer is no, they don't get "voided" they are separate violations on the same piece of paper... Like when you return something at the store and you bought multiple things on that receipt, you don't get a full refund. (that would rock)

Hey dmorales,

Dunno if you've taken care of the original ticket or not yet but if you haven't, I recommend taking it to Ted Tatarevich in Bedford. Phone # 817-282-8111. I've lost count of the number if tickets I've taken to him over the last sixteen years, but I've yet to have one that he's handled end up on my record, including a 104 in a 60 in Grapevine many years ago.

Just tell him Iain sent ya. He'll recognize the name. I've made more than a couple of his Jag payments.

Cool, thanks. I have already taken care of it, but it's good to know.

I talked to a city clerk twice in the process of taking care of the ticket,, and both times they were, "75 ina 45? That's...30mph over the speed limit!! No...that can't be right...what was it? (I reply..75 in a 45) ...well damn!"

That's pretty good, but I would have rathered the child seat and drop the speeding. Well, that's if the child seat is a non-moving violation.
