^^^^So does the muzzle of a legally carried .45!

I'm not sure what is more ridiculous, a Lambo trying to instigate a race with a RX 8 or a, take your pick ( SRT 4, Evo, STI, Mustang GT, 350Z etc..). I was at the Galleria last night and it was a little crazy for sure.

RX-8s do occasionally get mistaken for exotics.

Most guys with high-end performance cars like Lambos, Ferarris, etc. only drive them 500 miles in a year. They're afraid to take them anywhere, and are very rarely the enthusiast type; they're just old guys with lots of money who wanted a nice car.
They *know* their exotic is nice and fast... they just have no clue HOW fast (either due to A: never driving it, B: not knowing dick about cars, C: usually afriad to push their investment anywhere near its limits, D: all of the above). All they know is the stats and numbers they've read in magazines and been told by salesmen. 0-60 in 5.X seconds, top speed of blah blah, pulls 1.21 jiggawatts of power to the flux capacitor, and tons of other car mumbo-jumbo that means NOTHING to them.

They see GT 'Stangs, 350Zs, RX8's -- cars that are considered "fast" and/or look "sporty" -- and they want to see how they stack up against them. It's very rarely a ***** envy thing. It's almost always some old guy thinking "hey - isn't that car supposed to be really fast? I wonder how fast it is compared to my car... *REV*"

The easiest solution to making other drivers realize they chose the wrong car is to rile them up. Get in front of them. Then rile them up some more, then begin the gas/oil dump procedure going 70 You'll be surprised how far the fire from our tail pipes goes back and over any exotic... I always set my competition on fire

I had some dude in a viper w/ some chick in the passenger seat rev at me at a light on 620. I looked over...gave him my best Vin Diesel look...and unleashed all 9,999 rpms at his reciprocating small-***** mobile...

Chirped the tires a few times at the light...got him all riled up...he was all hot and heavy to go...holding the rev's high and steady, I waited for the light to turn green.

The light changes...and as I commonly do...I dropped the revs, and slowly eased it in to first gear...now normally the punkass next to me has peeled out and should have left the line...instead, he bogged it and simply sat there like a dumbass...

It was better than I could have asked for...I couldnt stop laughing and pointing my finger at the self-pwnage. He eventually took off in a hurry...but it was hilarious...totally made a tool of himself...

heh awesome!

I'm not saying every single person who owns a sports car/exotic is compensating, I'm just saying the ones who drive them like dumbassses are.

I remember one night this lady pulled up in a new Viper she had just bought a few months ago, she came into the parking lot we were having a get together at and said she was driving by and saw all the lovely cars and wanted to say hi and see what everyone was up to.

She stayed for a bit and we asked her about her car getting the same old "err..uhm..I don't know..." answers. After about 5 miuntes of chatting she told us to drive safe and make sure if we race to take it to the local track..

I saw her everyday on my way to work at my old job, I don't think she recognized me because I had my 8 then, but everyone now and then I'd catch her eyeing me at a red light.

Oakleys ftw btw. Keep your head straight, and check your periph to catch people staring at you, it's the greatest
