pretty cool. I thought that you were doing another forum, but the blog is a neat idea. I like it. btw, where did you get all those pics, they look very familiar

Oh, I was also wondering how everyone feels about having a members page.
It would basically be a list of all the DFW crew using RX8 club screen names and pictures of people's cars.
I was thinking that the picture of your car would be from the front passenger side looking down at perhaps a 45% angle?

i have to agree with scott. i thought this was going to be another forum which is why i was skeptical. but one place to log all of our silly antics, and awesome adventures. pretty cool idea. definitely beats trying to dig up old threads.

Some of them I took myself, others I stole from you guys from your photo bucket accounts when I knew they were there. I have no problem attributing pics to people if they want them done so, but as of now since there are so few they are just thrown in galleries based off meet dates since it was easier on me to do so.

Right now everything on the site is pretty "clean". Aka there is nothing on the site I would have a problem showing my mom.
That being said I do have pics of some of the parties that have been thrown over the years. The question I submit to you guys is how do you want to handle the site. (this is sorta in regards to joe's question about ntxrotaryafterdark....)
I dont have a problem putting party pics up etc, and blogging about the crazy times we had, however, because of some of the feedback we got on the state meet shirts this year and not being able to wear them in public etc, I wanted to know how everyone felt about the topic.
There are two outcomes,
1. I post the blogs/pics/videos from parties like the normal posts
2. Party stuff is hidden behind a user registration, aka hidden from normal people until you log in, but you wouldnt know stuff was hidden because it wouldnt even be displayed till you logged in.

And you (or someone) control usernames. Anyone can register, but they won't have access until you "approve" them.

So that brings up an interesting discussion point that I'd like to get some feedback on.

I don't see why not, but I'm not running this show..... I say go for it.

Sure! The more ideas we have the better, that was the point of this thread! But beware, I do get veto power Keep in mind I'm trying to make sure the overall look of the site stays consistant. If your idea is a good enough though I could be persuaded to change some things around to fit it...

Well someone def has Photoshop skills. So far I like the middle one best (cuse the rotor reminds me of the maple leaf one) I like that its more of a graphic than a logo... that sounds stupid I know, I just cant verablize what I'm trying to say.
The one thing that I sorta dont like is that the rotor is black, and only because the NTX is black and it doesnt contrast well, but if you make it red then it classes with the red rotary, so I'm a bit torn on that.
The rotor on the other two is just WAYYY too fancy for that graphic tho, or in a sense too busy. I do like the Texas graphic on the outside shape as well though.

One favor though I must ask, please make the files PNG format. I went to test the middle one and realized it wasnt a PNG. (and if its not a transparent background please also make it that)

(and before you read this, yes I am picky)
Hmm, I see what you were trying to do in pic2, but it came out too heavy.
The rotor in pic 1 is still too busy. I'd say remove the gear in the middle and the "teeth" around it that go with it and then it would be spot on for the kind of simplicity I'm looking for. The problem with going that far is that I'm curious how that would look with a grey background.
