The DI.net meet is every Wednesday at Berryhill Baja Grill on Frankford and Preston. There was about 20-30 cars out their and the place has room for up to double that or more. Like i said we should meet up somewhere and head up their together next week.

thing is, like thomas already said, we're just a tight knit group of friends who happen to drive the same car. we'd like to keep it that way, making things official, and all takes away a lot of that. we're not an official group like ricekillers, or any of the teams or whatever. we dont need sponsors, and spaces reserved at resaurants. and a designated time every week or something.
just keep your eye open. meets pop up all the time
EDIT: what you're describing also sounds like the statemeet. which is the most structured thing we do. you missed it by about a month

I think, for what it's worth, that there could be a happy medium here. Yes, we are tight knit group of friends (always open to new friends joining though). However, when I first started going to these meets they were regulary scheduled meets. One week in GV, one week in Addison. Alternating Tuesday/Thursday. It then went to GV only every week, to GV only when someone feels like scheduling to we haven't had one in awhile.... So, back to my point here.. Something regulary scheduled sounds rather good to me. It's a heck of lot easier to schedule for it if it's always at the same interval. And.. if some restaurant wants to give us standing reservations for our meets, who the hell cares? That works for me!

Another thought is we could have a regular, "official" meet once a month. It's always scheduled, same place same time. That meet could be posted on th new site. That way new 8's now exactly what's going on. Then any other adhoc meets throughout the month could just be posted up like we do now. That way we seem to cover most everyones bases... Monthly for those with funding issues, official for those that want a more unified/structured/professional meet and the ability to schedule adhoc for those that like the randomness we currently have.

They didn't fall apart... I got laid off and was no longer working in north dallas and since I was the one that organized those meets, I stopped doing as such. Anyone else was welcome to pick it up, but the Grapevine meets seemed to have been fine in the interim.
