DFW Area Track Event - MSR Cresson - Apr 26-27 - $250 - 8 25 min sessions
Hi Folks
It's been forever since I've posted, as I sold my RX8 quite a while back when I bought a MINI. Seriously, the only thing I don't miss about the RX8 is the fuel economy. 4 years after introduction, the car is still dead sexy and a fantastic performer.
If you have ANY questions, feel FREE to IM or email me. I'll get back to you ASAP.
Anyways, sorry for the late notice, but I'm here to invite you all to come out to the Lone Star Chapter of the BMW CCA Driver Education Weekend at Motorsport Ranch in Cresson Texas. We'll be running the 1.7 mile course. I don't know which direction yet. The price is $250 for the weekend, and you'll get 8 track sessions (4 Saturday, 4 Sunday) of 25 minutes, and instruction (if you need/want it). The weekend is also a club race weekend, so there will be race cars in the paddock to check out, and of course, you can watch some racing.
If you've never driven your RX8 on the track, you're missing out. The RX8 is a FANTASTIC track car. Come on out and do it before it gets really hot this summer! The event is run by the BMW club, but ALL makes are welcome, and the instructor pool has a wide range of experience. If you're a first-time Lone Star Chapter participant, the club is waiving the BMW CCA national club membership requirement for this event. On the registration form, just make up a number.
If you're planning to come out, and you want to bring something other than an RX8, that's fine too. Due to the national clubs insurance rules, convertibles (yeah, even the Miata, the most popular track car in the world) must meet certain safety requirements (rollover protection + 5 point harness + arm restraints OR factory hardtop)
Registration Deadline is midnight on Thursday (the midnight between weds and thurs)
