I don't know what everyone else thought, but I think the Oasis would be nice. I visited there a few weeks ago. All of the outdoor seating had been destroyed, but they plan on having it back by the end of March-Early April. I didn't eat, but enjoyed the scenery and drinks.

Thanks Slim. I liked the Oasis too. I only sampled their chips but the scenery was breath-takingly beautiful. And the drive to/from was fun too.

It would be very helpful if everyone could register at the Renaissance Hotel as a preferred member, if you haven't already done so. You get coupons that can be used towards 50% off of a weekend stay. It takes a few weeks to get it back so the sooner the better.

 

you could be brave and try a different place, say like shades or some of the other places that are right on the lake, shades includes a full trip down Lime Creek and a portion of 1431 to get there, but it is kind of small and the view might not be quite the view oasis has. (I'm not knockin' oasis, just thought you guys might want to go for something different this go 'round )

 

alright tiff...i'm good to go. I start my class in san antonio on the 24th of April...so i can just ride through with you guys...except i'll go the opposite direction when you all leave!!

i've been on the forum for a few months and keep reading about all these great trips you all have. I went to the BJ's meet in mid jan. and really enjoyed meeting some of you. this trip down to austin sounds like a great trip, and i am all about road trips. if you can figure out a solid date, i interested.

 

We've got a solid date: April 21-23. It would be awesome if you can make it!!

 

What Dazy, 1-30th? Hell, I may bring my truck and pull the car so I can bring ALL my stuff. I have decided I will live there before too long.

 

Well Slim, I'm sure Weininaustin could reccomend some places to live there... and if you move, then we'll have a place to stay when we come to visit!!
