Since we'll be down in austin anyway, I was wondering if you guys wanted to take a trip to PTP motorsports. I talked to Jon in the aftermarket forum and he said it'd be fine and they'd let us do a free dyno day as long as we didnt bring like 50 cars.

for those who don't know, PTP is making a custom turbo kit for the RX8 scheduled to come out within the next few months. As far as kits go, this is the best looking one i've seen and the price will be fair.

Is anyone interested in this?

We can go saturday or sunday between binge drinking hours.

Please post and let me know so I can let PTP know if we'll be there.

I don't have any mods so dyno time would be a waste but I always like hangin out at shops

 

Same here. I'm looking more for a tour to see what their shop is like and to see what their turbo 8 setup looks like in person. I don't really need to dyno my car but I would anyway just to have a before and after picture.

 

I don't have any performance mods, but didn't the offer say "free?" Would be cool to do it and since it wouldn't cost anything, why not?

Mainly because it's not really worth the time to run it. Since the car is stock it is going to run close to the same as any other stock RX8 give or take probably about 8 HP. Anybody who has not dyno'ed before will enjoy doing it. I will sit it out and just hang with everyone.
If a car does not pull a high 400 or better it's not that exciting to me. That and it has to be running racing fuel so you can enjoy the smell :D

 

one day.. we will all have 400hp on pump gas :b
