Yeah, I think I'm free on Sunday...what's the plan? Btw, I drove a Lotus last night, apparently the guy was in the Road Rally on the 9th-anyone see the silver Lotus that day? He's driven the dragon too, what??? Just had to share that.

Um...you know, it was fun to be so low but strange at the same time-very easy to drive, I was surprised, hard as hell to see anything but I'd imagine once you get used to it...and probably if the owner hadn't been next to me and I hadn't been drinking I'd have been more comfortable

Overall very badass. I almost feel inadequate because when people drive my car, I'm in the passenger seat saying "floor it...don't shift yet, don't shift yet, floor it, don't shift yet...don't slow down for this curve" and um yeah...I TOTALLY was on the recieving end of that last night.

It was overall very badass. I give it a 10.

 

Heh, I know next time I let you drive my car I am in the passenger seat. Go slow! That's a speed bump!

On a side note, I just met the guy last night at a happy hour for my sister's company so you'd think he's nuts for offering to let me drive his car, right? Kinda went down like this:

I said: "Yeah, Claire's gonna be drivin' my 8 for a week or so, gotta get her better with it before we get to the Dragon..."

His response was: "You've driven the Dragon? Deal's Gap? Psh, and I thought you just had an 8 for looks. Come on, take my car for a spin."

I said "psh, alright, I hope it's a stick" as I put my beer down, got up and headed toward the door...he threw me the keys when we got outside and my jaw dropped when I saw the keychain. Haha, no turning back at that point!! BUCKLE UP!!

Woah, woah, woah...he drove the 8 later and had nothing but excellent things to say about it...but no, I did not reciprocate. In any way.

And how is that lying by omission?? Scott let me drive for a little while...you know, when I wasn't passed out or throwing up. I didn't say I drove it well but I tried. You can't take that away from me!

Also, have you guys checked out the state wide rx8 meet that we are planning? it is going on the last weekend of october and will be in Austin....We are working out all the little details right now but would love to get a good turn out from the DFW RX8's.

 

woot!!! i wont have a car until monday at the earliest so i guess that knocks the plans. o well. i dont know if anything else will be possible. maybe one evening.
