Well unless you were just trying to make me feel better about the clutch...sounded like you may want that...and I mean, I have the racing beat springs. And that's about it? K&N air filter...if that's still okay...doubtful. I dunno.
I just wanna hear if she's totalled or not, I'm dyin' over here. Like I'm at the starting line waiting for the gun to go off just staring at my next car sittin on the finish line all wrapped up and waiting leaving me guessing...what will it be, what am I going to unwrap...can't wait to make it to the end and find out! UGH!

And in Thomas's defense, he apologized if his PM sounded mean, he has been searching for clears for months and I knew this...so it's alright. Don't judge him. No point in crying over my car if she's gone, only makes sense to jump on the opportunity...we all understand...

I did like the clutch...you are correct about that.
And I completely understand the frustration of waiting to find out of the car is totaled. It took my insurance company a week and half to get back to me after my buddy wrecked my truck.
I'm just giving Tom a hard time...I figured we'd leave you alone for at least a few days...so Tom was the next target. That's the beautiful thing about always being out of town...everyone forgets about you!

wow sorry to hear about that, glad to see you are alright. And as for scarlet, she should be repair able. I hit a deer going about 80 in a civic, and they were able to piece that pos back together no problem. The good thing is that it was a straight hit and not a side. A quote from my insurance "if the frame isnt bent the car isnt totaled"

Well...report is still in progress but bottom line is in: TOTALLED
It was a straight hit kind of...but it obviously did more damage to the driver's side so it was not really a dead-on straight hit. The frame was JACKED, I guess that's not obvious from the pics I've posted so far but I took a few more that shows the damage pretty well. The body shop called to tell me it took the insurance guy about 90 seconds to look it over and say "yeah, it's a total loss, don't work on it." So...yeah.
I believe I just heard the race gun shoot...the search for the next car is ON!
RIP Scarlet Ro'tara You were loyal to the end, the only reason I cheated death. (Sniff) You will be missed, loved always and forever, never forgotten.
Brian...if you don't mind...please ask your Dad to engrave/etch the accent. Scarlet would be proud to have the Godfather display her remains. (Sniff)

I haven't met you in person so don't take my um...attitude...short nature...whatever the wrong way. But...
First, there will NEVER be a replacement for Scarlet. A successor perhaps, but no replacement.
Second, I HATE the R3's. Yes, I know the specs show it is "better" than the original RX8 with the suspension and crap, and it has the 19" wheels and all that jazz but um...ugh. It doesn't get me all wet like something with that price tag should. Or even something without that pricetag should. It's like the commercial says, my only requirement for my car is-when I turn it on, it better return the favor. And the R3 just uh...I dunno, provokes my gag reflex.
I love the color though. And thank you for the support. I am not dissuading any further suggestions. Just thought I'd clear that one up. Please don't think I'm a stuck up, ungrateful, snobby b!%#$. Well, at least not until you meet me in person.

heh the only thing i really like about the new rx8 is the automatic a/c, which i then remember i dont use very often (perfer the older with the ms body )
able to pick up a used rx8 for hella cheap, mr2 spyders are good and cheap, miatas are nice to
good luck to finding a suitable successor to the fallen scarlet

You little kumquat you...I'm half laughing, half planning your demise...
You're right though, the name is fitting. One huge gust and that thing would be swept away!

See thats why I PM'd her instead of posting that on the board, I really didnt want to seem mean or insensitive and I TRIED (which is a big deal for me if you know me at all) to be somewhat tactful about the situation....

I hate it for two reasons:
1. No Moonroof
2. Crappy seating
Yeah those seats sound awesome on paper if your a smaller guy, but I got into an R3 on the showroom floor and got out seconds later because the seats were so bad (wide shoulders)
Agree with Angie though about a car turning you on when you turn it on, Think that practically everday with the RX8.

And again, for the record, Thomas was very tactful in asking for the clears, I went back and reread what I said yesterday and realized it may have come off in a smartass way...so wanted to restate that. I was serious.

wait...I think you're talking about your original post...
I suck at life!! Yeah...I'm definitely gonna need someone to pick me up tomorrow night. There's going to be massive amounts of drinking going on.
