DFW RoadRally to Texas Motor Speedway
The first RoadRally in the 2008 SCCA Championship RoadRally Series will be held May 3rd.
The Rally to the Race will begin at Subaru of Plano, and end at Texas Motor Speedway for the SCCA Sunburn Grand Prix roadraces.
This year's course is a little longer and a little faster, with more rural roads that you will enjoy driving.
You can pre-register (and save $5) at http://www.dlbracing.com/clubs/texas...x?EventID=3295
The new flyer is up on http://www.texasscca.org/rttr8flyer1.pdf. For those of you who ran last year, much remains the same: start place, start time, teams....what has changed is a new route heading straight north out into the country, with more fun roads than the past few years.
If three of you enter, we can have a "Team RX8" competing for the Team Trophy.
Keep tuned for other rallies in our series...including 3 sponsored rallies!

Without paying? Well, sort of. I need a check run done by a novice, before the day of the rally. You will need 2 people, and about 3 hours of daylight. Meet me at the Subie dealer on W. Plano Parkway at an agreed time, and you can run the rally. Spend a few minutes at the end telling me how you did. You don't get the thrill of competition, but you do get to run the same event everyone else does. Email me at rally@texasscca.org.

So how many people are wanting to do this thing? I'm definitely down. This is the kind of rally where the directions you get are landmark and time based right? Not street names. i.e. Go 5 minutes down this road and turn left at pile of shark teeth... If so you can count me in.

First thing that would need to happen is establishing if you have a person riding with you already, girlfriend/wife boyfriend/husband, friend, etc. or if you need someone to ride with you. Someone here might be looking to ride, but not drive (why you wouldn't want to drive is beyond me)
Then you need to click that link at the top and register. Once you are registered with DLBRacing you will be asked for your team name, car information, driver information and navigator information. After that's entered you just have to pay. (paypal, mail check, pay at start are the options for payment)
So i guess we need to decide on a team name

Where exactly is Flips Patio & Grill, 415 W Hwy. 114, Grapevine Tx 76051? Which exit from 114 coming from Dallas?

Coming from Dallas you will see the restaurant #1 on that map on your left. After you see it look for an exit. You'll have to do a turnaround and stay on the access road to get there. You cross under 121 and it's on your right.
