I don't think we can just make it happen now... The club has kinda been dead. What me and steve have been talking about is to get this thing going we are going to need more than just 8's... We don't have enough active members; so I said we should invite the guys from DFW Mazdas to help us meet our quota of roughly ~18 cars. Steve wanted to try the RX-7's first before the DFW Mazdas to try to keep it all rotary...
Keep in mind: The San Antonio guys want a BHR Dyno Day. If the MVP Dyno day doesn't work out we can go to this (i plan to get my car tuned). The DFW members that have the Cobb AP can get their car tuned as well as the members that don't have one can get a compression heck and just a normal Dyno.
It would be badass to meet Charles and the BHR crew and other people while watching MM tune your car. Btw BHR purchased extra COBB AP's for people that didn't have time to purchase before the deadline, MM might bring the extra Cobb AP's to the Dyno day so anyone who doesn't have one can buy one to get your car tuned, badass??? I think so...
I believe the BHR Texas Dyno Day would take place in Austin, since that's where Cobb HQ is located, that a pretty central location in Texas considering 8's will not only be coming from DFW and SA...
I still have to talk to the SA guys about this to revive the thread so we can talk to MM about this and get the ball rollin'
At anyrate, Food for Thought...

Good idea, we might have to consolidate since many members are not committed and I don't want to waste anyone's time. Having met and rolled with the BHR crew in Vegas, I can attest to their character a bit and they are just all around decent guys. I want to help them as much as they can help us. I am not against having other rotaries around but I wouldn't wanna waste time with the regular mazda clubs if they are anything like the Texas mazda Club members here.
If this is dead, hop on over to my thread and we can discuss. 05rx8mazda (went to Vegas as well) is in Austin and we are starting to get things organized but we need people to man up and do this.

I'm not calling MVP dyno day dead, we just need more people... But I will be going to both for sure..

Here's my suggestion:
Talk to MVP and find out when they will have time to do a dyno day for us. Get 3-4 tentative dates from them. Then ask around to find out which one of those dates works for the most amount of people. (I would suggest a new thread for that.) Also find out how much time we have to "cancel" if we can't get enough people together.
Once you have a date set, preferably more than 2 weeks out, we can start advertising it and get it going. Also, I would suggest making people pay, either through paypal or some other means, when they agree to show up. It makes backing out and possibly cancelling the day harder for people to do. If they had to pay $20 to get on the list, they are less likely to back out. And even then, we could still pay for it if 1 or 2 people drop.
I think we have enough people who want to go, but a lot of us can't say for sure if we'll be there until you give us a date.
