An eco-friendly RoadRally
Sure would like a nice drive in the country.....but it's so hot out there.....and gas isn't cheap.
I think I will enter the SCCA TableTop Rally! They have written a challenging set of routes using the Roads of Texas atlas by Mapsco, with all the usual rally puzzles, but I can do it all at my kitchen table.
And it's so easy to enter: just go to tinyurl.com/TT09msr, and register online. The cost is only $20 ($5 discount for SCCA members), but I had better hurry, registration closes at midnight on July 31. Then I'll have the entire month of August to work on it.
What's even more fun, is I can do the rally in my favorite fantasy rally car. Ferrari? Lamborghini? No, I think I will rally in the 1964 Monte Carlo winning Morris Mini Cooper S....what's better for a rally than a WRC winning car?!
I'll check the flyer at www.texasscca.org/TT09flyer.pdf for details. And I know if I have questions, I can contact rally@texasscca.org.
