haha nice!!! well the time doesn't start till the car takes off not when the light goes green so that can affect the time...in the time slip he got a faster time than me but said i was the winner and i could see his headlights next to me the whole way so i maybe took him by a fender

Nice vids... Do you guys know if there is a different drag race area in EP where we can drag at because I think the one that we went to is located on to much of a high altitude and i think its effecting albert's numbers, I think somewhere where the altitude is on sea level would be a nice place to drag (somewhere like in the lower valley?) to get real good numbers. I've heard from some of the other 8 owners on this forum that the numbers are pretty bad (no offense) they claim that its caused by the level of altitude the drag area is on, when I posted the vids on a different forum post "Rx8 Discussion" on the main page. Their sayin that some of their 8's can run mid - 14's and on average mid 15's on right conditions with the same mods. I feel that its true that the high altitude is affecting Albert's numbers (I'm sure he can do better). Because the drag area is located on higher level "upper valley" compared to mexico it looks like we live on a mountain.

 

i agree with aj, the altitude here is high and affects the cars a lot....i havent heard of an rx8 running lower than low 15s unless with any type of force induction here in el paso... even the mustangs were having trouble trying to hit mid 15s, which is weird cuz they usually get 14s...and ive also heard of bone stock rx8s hitting low 14s but in a much lower altitude....the only place i know that has a strip with an almost sea level altitude is south of Juarez, but there is no way in hell im going over there in my car ...lol

lol I know uh... man he told me that he has invested about 15k (insane!) on his 8 since he bought it... with performance mods (turbo, intercooler etc.), paint jobs, kits and other interior stuff. He says he is running around 350hp under his hood at the moment, and he gonna increase more psi to increase it to another 100-150hp.
