Sounds cool... but I might not be able to come to the next meet this time. Since my car is at the dealership. It's having its engine replaced... I've took it to the dealership on monday... B/c my car stalled on me like 2-3 times on the damn HWY. (FFS, it was annoying!). Next day the dealership calls and tells me that my engine need to be replaced! The mechanic says that there is an Oil leak in the rotary chamber. And also that there was very low compression on the engine (ANY CLUES? wtf went wrong). Thank God! its being covered by the warranty. Any comments and reasons on why my engine went out? My New engine is coming in a week. And they are suggesting me to replace my "Air Pump" which isn't covered by warranty... err.... cost... 500$ or more. I don't even know if the Air pump is fck'd up or if the dealership is jus persuading me to buy it for no particular reason (just to make money outta me). Does anyone know if its a must to buy the air pump? My car might be done by the end of this month (HOPEFULLY!).

Hey there RX8 peeps in El Paso. Do you guys have a club or regular meets or anything? I've read through the last few pages and it seems you're somewhat active. I'm going to be over there next month for about a week (Aug 9th - Aug 14th). I'm taking a new job there. After that week I'll be in GA for about 6 months for some training and then I report back to El Paso in Feb next year. Any advice for the area? Good areas to look into for a house? Etc, etc... Also, are there any cheap, (but in good/safe areas) to stay for the week I'm there before I go to training? Thanks for any info.

Oasis it is 730 PM Friday, I am gonna reserve 2 lanes. TELL EVERYBODY.
Toxic, as far as where to stay and houses and all that, I wouldnt know. Third eye, Atruerx, and some of the other locals probably have better info for ya. Sorry. What job are you training/getting here in El Paso if I might ask?
AND EVEN IF YOUR 8 IS IN THE SHOP, ON BLOCKS, NOT RUNNING, FLAT TIRES, EXPLODED, STOLEN , THERE IS NO EXCUSE NOT TO BE AT OASIS FOR THIS EVENT.

ok, 8 it is then. BTW, I called Oasis about 100 times today trying to reserve the lanes, the event coordinator guy never answered the phone, and the front desk people never answered the phone, i did leave messages on the even coordinators phone but have yet to recieve a call.
Anyway, 8 at Oasis, they have 40 lanes, so we can probably get a few that early anyway.
Albert, tell your other 8 friends about it too (=
