TX Few Questions

Heya!

I've been lingering around this forum for a while and reading up on what everyone has to say about RX-8's! I do not own one....yet. I live in Houston and wondered if there was any advice on which dealerships are the best for shopping or service?
Also, anything else of interest for this area that a hopefully soon to be RX-8 owner should know.

Thanks!

Im sure you have already read that the first things I learned which is. Use premium gas only. Use only 5W-20 NON sythetic. And from what i have read through the manual that comes with the car. Its good to redline it at least once a day. Thats the basics I know. Im sure I know more than that. But I could be wrong about the rest. So ill leave it to the other guys. Im new to it all as well.

Some cars are fine running on 87 or 89 while others have to have 93 octane. Most people run a heavier weight oil especially if they have a Texas climate 10w-30 or even more sometimes. Synthetic vs nonsynthetic is a huge debate, but most people agree synthetic is better. Don't use synthetic if the car has lots of mileage on nonsynthetic, otherwise it should be fine. Redline a day isn't a bad idea either as carbon buildup is the main culprit we deal with. Premix isn't a bad idea either and a Cobb AP from Mazdamaniac will get you better power, responsiveness, mpg, and make the engine last longer.
