I'll be heading down to Houston for business in mid February. I checked to see if the Rockets are playing, but sadly no.
Anyone have any suggestions for types of "touristy" stuff I can do while there? I'll be there from Feb. 17 - 19. Maybe a concert or something? I'll have a rental car so getting around is not an issue.

NASA is worth a visit. If you like shopping hit the Galleria on Westheimer. Food...hey, it is the fattest city in the US!! Westheimer/Richmond area has dynamite restaurants. Seaworld is also cool.
Welcome to Tejas!! Have a good one.

Hey thanks for all the responses, everyone! I haven't checked out this thread for a while...
I just got my schedule for Houston and it looks like the only free time I have will be on Friday morning...my first meeting starts at 1 PM. So that kinda sucks. Also, I'm meeting up with another member of this board to buy one of those custom sub boxes off him, so that'll take some time, too.
Anyways, thanks for all your southern hospitality :D
opefully next time I go down there I'll have more free time.

Tillman Fertitta opened an Aquarium Downtown 3 resturants, White Tigers, a Shark Tunnel and a Ferris wheel. Maybe that is what your thinking of.

I have not experienced any of the local talent, but I do know that Phoenix was awesome! Took my brother out for his bachelor party, and all I've got to say is "what happens in Arizona, stays in Arizona".
One of the advantages of being newly engaged is that I get to look forward to a night out with the guys! Not that all that will stop, but it is a great excuse to make a fool of myself out on the town.

Yeah--if you are into nightlife hit downtown on Friday/Saturday night. Oh an to whoever said something about Atlanta--I wasn't impressed when I was there--its coo but give me H-Town.
