Houston/Galveston Elementary School Help

Looks like I'm going to be moving to the Galveston/S. Houston area around Julyish for med school at UTMB. My fiancee will need to find a job teaching elementary school somewhere close and I was needing some input on good schools to look at. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. We will also need a place to live if someone has a hookup!

For a good school district on the southeast side, look to Clear Creek ISD. This is in the Clear Lake area which is where NASA is located. The school district is pretty large and the schools are good. My wife grew up in this area. It is about a 45 minute commute to UTMB. it actually isn't as bad as it sounds. My wife works at American National Insurance in Galveston which is the tallest building in Galveston right near UTMB and we live next to downtown Houston 50 miles away! Your other school districts in the area are Dickinson and Santa Fe. They aren't as good as CCISD but if we are talking about job you should always go where the jobs are. Check those out.

Thank you very much! The only place I really knew was Clear Lake.

I have until June 15 to be accepted at either UTSW in Dallas or UT Houston so there is a pretty good chance I'll be in the area come this summer. We were down there Wednesday checking out places to live and decided League City is really the only option. Any further south really turns into an area I would rather not live and it's close to all the places she would like to work. Beacon Lakes, Broadstone Commons, and South Fairways all looked pretty good.
