Alarm is port installed I believe, so once it hits the port in Dallas, it should be there i'll estimate 2-3 weeks. This is just a guess as I don't know the details on your vehicle, ship date, etc..

Where do all the Houston RX-8 guys live? I'm in the 1960/champions area and have only seen a black one and a blue one.

I'm in the Kingwood/Atascocita area.

I was just informed by Mazda that my car finally finished having the appearance package installed at port (all other items were installed a couple of weeks ago). For others that are waiting, my build date was July 7th, arrived at port August 8th and is scheduled for delivery on September 8th.

I got my blue RX-8 last Friday and I've just been enjoying it as much as possible. I'm in the Clear Lake area, but I think I might drive up for the meet.

btw -- my roommates and I are having a house-warming party tomorrow night. DJs, cocktails, and well, an RX-8 PM me for details.

Northwest, off of Jones Road. I have only seen a silver one (WEEKS ago) "out and about", but I have seen several around work (I work in the Williams Tower, in the Galleria area).

I can't believe I haven't seen your car - I work in the 3000 Post Oak building right next door. If you happen to see a red 8 around 7, 11, or 5 - it's probably me.

Eradicator: Where are you at in Clear Lake? I am down there all the time off of Bay Area about a mile from UH Clear Lake. Where is DJ's? I know where BJ's is.

Well, I live over near UHCL, but I work for USA (west of JSC). Of course I'm all over the place as I am developing a habit of driving just for the fun of driving an RX-8 :D

When I said "DJs", I meant disc jockeys. My buddy and I are learning to mix techno, house, and lounge vinyl. I've been at it for about a year now.

I usually arrive at 5:25am, don't leave for lunch, and leave to head home around 3:00.

That would explain it...........

Ok, I need feedback on this pretty quick, sorry for the delay but it's been a busy week for me. I am thinking of 11-2 on the 21st of the month. I am also going to try and compile a list of people attending again in the next day or two, so if you have not let me know if you are coming and you know you can, please send me a pm or post it here so that I can add you to the list. If you are not sure, don't worry, you don't need to be on the list to attend.

The only local event that day is the BMW event. Shouldn't affect local RX-8 turnout. There are Autocrosses scheduled for San Antonio (SASCA), Austin (Spokes), Dallas (SCCA), and Beaumont (Sowela) that day though - might affect turnout from those areas........

I'm out now I have to work that weekend my company is moving buildings and I have to work from Friday Night thru to monday W/ very little sleep to get the Phone System moved over and the network up and running for a metric ***-ton of peeps as well as all the network connections and computers going. It's a must I can't skip if I value my job. and Since my job is paying for my RX-8 I gotta keep the Job. So while you all are having fun I will be busting my ***!! I might show up for a second all dirty and sweaty.

Sorry Richard - my mother is visiting from England and her return flight is on this day (originally supposed to be on Saturday 20th). I need to drop her off at the airport at 1pm, so looks like I cannot make it unless it was 5pm or later.

I couldn't go much later because of the catering and times that I can get people here at the dealership to open the lot and move cars when we are all done. A 5-8 meet would be 10-11 for those of us that have to move all the cars back in place. If we do another one, I'll try and do an offsite location, just at this time I'm trying to make this one as good as possible. I'll have a list out today of people that are coming and please let me know if you're on the list that your a go, or not on the list that you might be a go.

Thank You,

Richard

Richard, can I join the meeting? I'll bring my RX8, I've just pick it up from Jeff Haas last week. Please confirm the location, date and time. Thanks

I'm afraid I'm going to bail. With my impending lack of employment, and the accompanying probability that I'll be returning the car, I've decided to run a local autocross here in Austin before I have to part with it.

Have fun!

So are you contacting people by means other than this thread? I'm interested in going, but so far I only know that it's sometime/somewhere on 9/21.
