If you want to meet and drive in it probably won’t be till 12:00 or 1:00 I won’t leave till 8:00 or 9:00. I am unfamiliar with the area and if you want to meet up and drive in together let me know where to meet (I can probably find anything on my nav). Unfortunately I don’t have a yellow 8 but 2 8's is cool enough by itself............ha

 

sounds good, There's a small (and I mean small, like New Jersey small) dive/restaraunt right at the entrance to the road that leads to the Expo center so that might be place to meet. There are some gas stations and such up the road a bit on 290 as well so we can probably do something there. I plan on hooking up with a friend of mine who has a Del-Sol he's working on (JDM engine, port,polish still a work in progress so we'll probably pile into my car...heh) and we should be there about the same time as you.

Well I had one helluva morning yesterday, still made it to the show but my plans got all shot to pieces and to top things off I lost HoustonRx8er's phone number on the way up there so I couldn't give him a call (or RotaryGod for that matter) to tell him the scoop and try and meet etc. The show was frickin' hot, huge and crowded. I tried taking pictures but there were just too many people and then the heat got to me a little and so I cut my losses and headed on out of there. I have a small collection of pictures at this address, let me know if it doesn't work and I'll resize and make a thread or something.

Yes, the show rocked! I was alittle steamy but worth it. Kind of disappointed in only seeing one Rx8 and all it had was crappy wheels and good tires.............maybe next year. Talked to Rotarygod and we both just missed each other twice. Over all good show.

 

Was that the RX8 under the tent? Was it me or could they have cleaned it up a bit? I couldn't believe how many "show cars" were out there just looking filthy and not prepped at all, it is a show after all right? I spent a good amount of time spiffing up the Canary Friday (only to have it all go to waste yesterday when the monsoon hit lol) and I wasn't even showing. Just a little disturbing to see participants not putting forth any effort, my how times have changed, heck I might have placed had I entered after all lol

 

I agree, gave the car a white glove test just to drive up there; that was a waste.....bugs. Then my car was cleaner than most of the show cars, I can understand a truck being dirty but not a car.
