IFO car show argument about Rotary and classics.
so there was a big argument with the IFO car show judges and some of the San Antonio guys, about how they are selecting all the rotaries and old classic JDM as one catagory for judging. on the argument it was mention that you cant put a fully modified FD to compete with 82 corolla and 510 datsun as a classic, and then giving the trophy for best mazda to stock mazdaspeed3 when there was only 2 rx7 and 1 rx8 that looked awesome, just cuz the ms3 belonged to some dump car club that take anything that has tires on it. the 2nd thing that it was mention that a classic car is classic it has to look good not just on outside but on the inside too. there was a 82 corolla that was fully restored inside and out( one bad@SS car but again the classic trophy was given to the 510 datsun that looked good from outside but extremely dirty from the inside, they didnt even tried to get dust of the seats and dashboard oh yeah it belong to that same dump car club as the MS3.
so since we prove our point to the judges that they were wrong, we got them to admit it that we did have a point, what they are going to do they are going to open a catagory just for rotary for 1st and 2nd price winner, and they will be paying more attention on the classic inside and out and give 1st and 2nd price winner too, they also said that will be doing this for all the rest of IFO event not just Ennis only. so I hope that all rotary owners and also any other classic imports owner bring your cars to the IFO car show as well.

Man, that was tough to read. So instead of best Mazda now Rotaries are in their own class? That is dumb, a Mazda is a Mazda. Judging has been and always will be biased. It's just part of car shows man.

Interesting. I didn't get to go out to Ennis this weekend with my team but heard some interesting winners.
Mazdas should just compete with Mazdas and be separated from the classics unless it is an actual classic. The RX8 is not even an old car to be considered a classic haha.
I will just have to wait and see when IFO comes back to see if they did update the class. It would be stupid since there aren't many rotaries at these events in the first place.

IFO is coming to Ennis in November, so i hope all rx7 and rx8, or any other type of cars that a rotary engine was put in to it should come out and support all the rotorheads, and get a 1st, 2nd and maybe a get a 3rd place winner if there is enough rotaries
