tried to get there earlier....hey if class gets out early again we can take the shuttle back...saw you get off it after class...I think??...I usually just walk, but I can take the shuttle back too and you you can show me what that things sound like at wot ........by the way the names Denis so we don't have to go through the whole awkward introduction thing

just installed RP short shifter, was a lot easier to install than I was thinking (was worried I might mess something up, and know I cant drive without the shifter lol). It's really worth it. It felt like I was hitting a wall or something when I shifted into second on the stock shifter but dont feel any problems with RP

Only thing I don't like about the short shifter is wiggling it in Neutral....cause you can't ....the damn thing takes a massive amount of force to move left and right...usually wiggled the shifter to make sure I was in neutral when I parked....now I just say forget it ....

so whats your next planned mod...

not too sure, I'm thinking flywheel or tein springs. I'd get the flywheel first but that's almost double so I might wait till christmas so I'll have a bit more money, or I could possibly ask for it as a gift.

I don't know i'd wait to get the flywheel until you need a new clutch.....as for the springs don't get them without shocks...or else you won't be riding smooth for long....I have the Koni/Tein S tech combination ...you can see it through my wheels ...I think its the perfect drop and handling definately feels tighter even with 19" rims

Hmm I don't know as far as appearance mods go...I have decided to stay with wheels, tint ((soon)), springs/shocks, rear foglight and some clear corners....maybe a kit once my paint wears in a few years....but other than that ya nothing on the outside....

I think you should just try and find a used revi intake....then besides for headers your pretty much set.....clutch and flywheel at the same time ((can tell you how to get free labor if your still within warranty when you buy them so you can get both installed for free ))

Also a pretty cheap mod will be to upgrade your tranny and diff fluid....and change your oil to royal purple

If I were you I would:
1.) Get the fluids as mentioned
2.) Get a revi intake w/ duct used

......then would just leave the car alone til your ready for FI

I have revi already, no duct though. I'm gonna be using royal purple next time I need to add some oil but I havnt really thought about doing tranny fluid yet.
So far I have:

1) Revi intake
2) RB exhaust
3) agency power pulley
4) RP supercat
5) RP short shifter

As for FI, I'm looking at the axial flow when ever that comes out, might be able to figure a way to get that. the set of koni + s.tech tein look nice but just barely too much for now I think. Thinking I'll have to wait a little bit before my next mod lol

yeah.... I'm not too sure about the axial flow though ($$$$). The pulley is alright, I wouldnt say it does anything amazing, but I think it's probably worth the $150. Seems to rev a bit faster and AC seems just as good as before. Didnt install it myself, mostly cause my dad didnt want me to lol. He didnt want me to mess up the belts but I think he was worried a bit much. He payed for install so I cant complain too much about that.
All I've installed are the intake and the shifter. He didnt trust ramps or jack stands for the exhaust stuff The one problem I'm seeing with FI is any extra costs such as clutch and better tires and such. So I'll probably have to research a bit more to find a more complete price before I consider it.

mazdaspeed? any clue on release date or performance? The supercharger seems like a very good design and sounds very reliable. I'll probably wait for results of a few people before I make any decision on one. The axial flow seems like it could be loud, but hopefully not too loud.

well, axial flow seems to have a bit of a following... no doubt when it's released it will have some quick units sold and installed. oh, and they're showing it at 7stock at the end of the month so should get at least a good look at a final or close to final product (maybe sound/video if we're lucky?)

that thread about mystery turbo looks like it's just a few custom turbo set ups, is there a kit talked about that I missed?

Hmm maybe I chose the wrong thread i'll check...its made by scott ((interceptor dude)) I believe....but ya the Axial flow unit looks promising...but I want to go with either PTP ((who should show at 7stock as well)) or some other turbo....supercharger seems nice but turbo's produce the numbers I want ...350 to the wheels is my goal...don't see that with the axial flow..hell if they made those numbers i'd buy it right at its release...

Damn lol test tommorrow huh? Just checked
