Decisions Decisions...
but if it was me, i wouldn't do it. especially in the heat of july.
The only one i would consider doing is the Penn Field race, and that depends on how hot it is that day.

ER is running tomorrow at Pennington field. I will be there. Look for the red 8 with the black wheels.
COME ON DOWN!
I recommend being there no later than 8:30AM because you'll need time to wait in line, register and pay, then get your car prepped, then tech inspected, then have some extra time to walk and study the course before the driver's meeting.
I also recommend paying the extra $10 to get the two extra runs but the choice is yours. Six runs is better than four - in my opinion.

Well yesterday was the last autocross for this month. Guess it's time to start the August thread.
The only other RX8 out there was the McCall team which did pretty good and bested my times by at least 2 seconds (on an about 39 sec course) from what I recall.
I feel pretty good about my runs as they were all fairly consistent and most of them all within 1/2 a second of each other (not including the first run which was my feeler run). This at least lets me know I'm driving consistenly. Now I just need to fine tune my skills (now that I've broken myself of the worst of my bad habits such as overdriving the turns) and get some better tires!
Funny story - my final run, just as I crossed the starting line, I realized I forgot to turn off my DSC. So I shift into second and just as I hit the first turn I reach down and pop the DSC button with my left hand. I really wanted to do the full hold to completely disable it but didn't get a chance to. I thought I screwed up but it turned out it was my fastest run of the day by .2 seconds! Unfortunately, I hit my only cone of the day on that run.. ug. I wonder if that was where I made up the time...
commentary - If this car had just a bit more low-end aceleration it would be very deadly on the course. It's painful coming out of a tight 180 into a straight slalom in second gear if you know what I mean...
You all need to come out and enjoy the fun.
