Glad you made it home safe, but sorry to hear about the car. On the bright side, at least you didn't have to get a rental to finish your trip this time.

I always love to hear guys bash on the 8 when it starts to go south, most times it's user error but whatever. Anyways go with the Nissan brand, those cars never have any problems.

Well, since wassup nuthin made a post about his trip back I figured I would too. Well, I decided to leave Cove lastnight to beat most of traffic well, my trip ended very abruptly in Corsicana! I was ahead of about 8-9 cars leaving Corsicana and was passing over a couple low rise bridges and noticed something moving around the gaurdrail to my right. I started to slow down and BAM...from the other side of the higway something darted out into my path. Needless to say my entire front end is toast along with my radiator, a/c condensor, driver side oil cooler and the undershield/driver side fender liner. Come to find out from a passer-by that stopped to help, I hit a wild pig! Yep, a f'ing pig! So, my car is now at the Mazda dealership in Waco awaiting a claims adjuster to take a look at it and I now have to fly back to NC and figure out a way to get my car back to NC once repairs are complete.
So, yeah...good **** all around. It's a good thing I have about 20 days of leave left.

Holy crap Nic, that sucks. Are you ok? No mention in your post about that. Did the airbags deploy? Well if you need any help with your car or just a ride to the airport, let us know. You have the numbers. When are you flying out?

Yeah Dan, I'm fine. I was pretty shaken up...no airbag deployment, that's good. I appreciate your help but my parents are gonna take me. I had to ride with the tow truck back to Waco and my uncle, who lives in Belton, picked me up from there.
Went to the dealership this morning to drop off the keys...I should have taken some pics, the car doesn't look too bad in the daylight though. The service lady said she had seen worse get fixed there so, I'm not too worried. Now the problem is, how to get the car brought to NC when the repair is done. Also, the insurance adjuster can't make it out to look at the car until Tuesday. I'm leaving Sunday and will have to deal with all this over the phone.
The whole thing really sucks!

You might want to check the dates on the meet one more time. It was last year. I would be down for a meet, but I am currently out of town. You could try to set one up, but I would suggest starting a new thread so it doesn't get lost in this one.
