Looking for a body shop

Last Friday someone keyed their initials in my hood. I have to claim my insurance for this.

Wednesday a pizza delivery boy door dinged me all the way to the paint. I got his insurance but now he is denying that he did it to his insurance.

I have estimates totaling 1.5k for a repaint of the hood and passenger door. It looks like I am only going to get 500 from insurance claims becasue they are seperate incidents.

I trust the body shop that did the estimates "ProTech Collision" but it pains me to spend 1k for other people's issues.

Does anyone know a good paint shop that could help me for a better price. Perhaps someone who was very good at spot touch'ups with a AirBrush?

I am in houston and velocity red is my color so the metallic makes it harder to blend.

Many RX-owners in Houston have been going to this guy for years... I can't lie and tell you he is cheap... just tell him the RX-7 club sent you..

Well i have talked to a few body shops that give me a 1.4k estimate.

I took it to Apollo and they said $250

This is for a hood and two touch ups on the door.

How bad can Apollo mess it up? They have to be cutting corners for that much price difference. Thay said it would be ready in one day so I assume they are using one coat and I would prefer a layer of clear.

From the experience with Apollo I've had, they do a decent job, but expect corners to be cut, and not receive a first rate job. Best friend had his 68 mustang repainted there in HS, and within 2 years there was peeling in the rain gutters, and cracking around hinges. Additionally, there was pretty significant orange-peel. I've used the bodyshop behind westside Lexus when I'm doing insurance claims - they do a good job and the work they've done for me has held up. The place looks like it's run by Lexus, but they're independent.
