My mom tried to carjack you in San Antonio
This happened in San Antonio, TX at HEB (281 & Evans Rd).
So I drop off my mom in front of HEB so she can run in and grab some stuff. I drive off to the back of the lot where no cars are parked and I can see the door of the store (don't want any door dings in the SUV-lot).
I wait around for a few minutes and eventually I see her walking back out, so I pull out of my parking spot and head back to the entrance. After I get to the door I look around and see her walking very deterministically out into the lot, not paying any attention to me. Having no clue where she was going, I turned into the parking lot driving parallel to where she was driving.
A few seconds later I see her opening the passenger door of a Silver 8 parked in the lot (I drive a TiGrey). To my amazement, she starts to get into the car. A second later she hesitates and stands back up and has this freaked out look on her face. Just at that moment I pull up to where I can see the driver sitting inside. My mom closes the door and looks up to see me next to her with a freaked out look on her face.
She got into my car faster than she ever has before and I looked back at the driver to see him pointing at me (I believe to someone in the backseat).
If you were carjacked by my mom, leave a message .

My sister had a similiar experience with her '90 Ford Probe. She came out of the mall from work, went to her car, unlocked it, got in, and sat down, and suddenly realized it was NOT her car. Confused and scared, she jumped back out of the car. The car was the exact color as hers. This is a common thing in older cars (matching keys). We used to have Lincoln keys that would fit the F150 truck too.

damn that was funny. I had a very embarrasing moment last month. A co-worker was having a party and gave me directions to her house. I am driving down her street and there is a bunch of cars out in front of this house and I cannot see the address numbers but 824 was on the box across the street and she lived at 823 so I think nothing about it. I know you guys know what's about to happen but read on.
She had told me to walk on in when I get there because everybody will be on the back porch.
So me and my wife go walking in and we see a whole bunch of people in the back as expected. I expected a lot of people I did not know so nothing hit me the first few seconds. I pull a beer from the 12 pack I brought and in the course of microseconds I notice that there are some kids with party hats, a banner with "Happy Birthday", and a bunch of people looking at me like "what's with the beer?"
So I pan the crowd real good and I say "Uhhhhh, is this Kelli *****'s house?" to which a lady replies, "No Kelli is 3 doors down" to which fortunately these people have a GREAT sense of humor and one guy tells me "I'm going with you if you guys are drinking beer!!!"
My wife damn near died from embarrassment!!! I came real close to giving the 5 year old birthday boy a beer and telling him "happy birthday bro, save it unitl you're 21!!!" but then I thought not to press my luck.
Sure enough 3 doors down was a lot of cars as well. Why 823 was across the street from 827 and there just had to be the only other party on the street that night was across from 824 is beyond me but it was a very funny night that a lot of people won't forget.
I sure hope that the carjack victim finds this and chimes in. I would love to hear his version

...So I borrowed a friend's truck tonight to go buy a door for my house up at Home Depot. Parked, went inside, got my door, left, and loaded it in the truck bed. Walked the cart back to the drop off then walked back accross the parking lot, got inside the unlocked door and went to start it. Key didn't turn. Took me the longest time to realize I was in the wrong truck! Same model and color.
Thankfully I had time to unload the door and scoot before the owner saw me!
