So seen a few 8's in the Dell here recently

Grey one on Guase near Military passed by I guess around 4 or so on the 28th
I was in the Auto Zone parking lot working on my buddies RX-7

Same evening I caught up to and passed a Black 8 on Pontchartrain.

New RX-8 2005 Owner in the Baton Rouge area!
I've seen a handful of them around town but I don't know any of them.
Any advice for a newbie?

You purchase a fine car devin. Best advice I can give you is to check your oil regularly and when you start it up let the engine warm up for five minutes before turning it off. So you won't flood the engine (won't startup) search the forums cuz its your biggest friend here.

I stay in Baton Rouge you might of seen me around. I have the winning blue color. Driving around town like a maniac sometimes. Is your color galaxy grey?

Thanks for the advice! The dealer actually told me that his wife had one and that the engine flooded.
Yeah mine is the Galaxy Grey color, it was between that one and a yellow one...yellow is just VERY yellow!

Yeah I know how you feel...

So I was driving down Military Road the other day in Slidell, when I passed a Yellow RX-8 being driven by a super hot chick... it was love at first site.

Mine is a stick, which is great besides the fact that I don't really know how to drive it yet! (I know right, just bought a car I don't know the first thing about driving.) I'm learning on the weekends ^_^ .
Washed both cars this weekend and then it pours rain yesterday and a bird got my BMW....ugh!!!

Haha I lied to the salesmen when I bought mine. I told him that I knew how to drive a standard. While I was used to riding motorcycles I wasn't used to driving cars.

Haha dude.... Yeah same thing here on Sunday. Actually I washed it today too and it happened again.

We should try and get a NO/BR meet going I don't have much in my 8 but I would attend if I wasn't working that day

Put a bird bath in your yard. That usually keeps them from dive bombing your car.

That sounds like a good reason to get one...but I would be afraid that I would miss and hit my 8.
I know! Give them rice!
Like how they say not to throw rice for the birds at weddings any more because they will explode or something. That should take care of it. Save the shot gun for things like...oh I don't know...Honda Preludes? :-p
