Casanova, are you ever in our area? I'm starting to see a lot more 8's around. Especially blue. One of them might have been you.

PS: I just drove home from work coming down lafeyette street and right by popeyes before you turn to terry parkway I saw a black 8 with chrome rims. Her windows were down and from what I saw, she looked hot! Anyone here in the club?

Mr. Toeknee I am often in that area but that is not me. There are three yellow 8's on the Westbank. That has to be a record for yellow 8 saturation in a geograpic area.

i went to import faceoff last year..i didn't think it was good at all, i thought it was a waste of time..there was only like 5 cars worth seeing

 

I'm in the area a few times a week, Barataria and Lapalco area. Heres a pic of me.

 

Nice car. Loving the rims! I was thinking of getting some SF challenges also but my pocket isn't looking too deep after valentines day. Rims are gonna have to be the last thing I do.
Now I'm sure I haven't seen you around yet. If I have, I would've honked. I honk at all the 8's that I see.

PS. Was on my way home from work downtown and as I get onto the expressway from the HOV lane, a cop is sitting at the next exit hiding.. I pass the cop praying they don't get me but my luck has run out. SHE turns on the lights and gets on me. Says I was doing 76mph in a 50mph? Don't think so. Well now I have to find someone who could take care of this ticket to keep it off record.

 

Where does everyone work around here?

Mr Toeknee-bad news about the ticket. I use to teach astronomy at UNO and run the planetarium in Kenner, now I am at home on the Westbank due to health issues. I will have to set up some telescopes and have everyone in the area over!!

That Big Lots in the pic is located on Power and Vets in Metairie. I work for Uniforms by Kajan. Our store by you is located between Tuesday Morning and Stage Right across the street from Your Big Lots.

 

That seems like an awesome job. I currently am going to UNO. Sorry to hear about the health issues? Is it due to driving the 8 to 9k all the time?

 

I don't go to Metairie too much but when I do, I always see nice cars. The store on Barataria is right by my girls house. BTW what size are your rims and tires?

It was a great job and good luck at UNO. Unfortunately the health issues are due to being a juvenile Diabetic for 35 years.

I'm finally back in NOLA and almost moved in. Sucked because I missed the parades yesterday.

Perhaps we should see about finding a place to meet occasionally? Fox and Hound seems like a good idea. It's right over the Huey P., the parking lot is huge, and the ribs are decent (last time I was there over a year ago).

Also, just curious, but are there any R/C aircraft enthusiasts here? I'll probably wind up being a regular at CCRCC's field on sundays.

 

Welcome back! I'm not sure about every 2 weeks but I think we should do some kind of meet. I would love to meet all the 8's in the area but I don't think they check the "GULF REGION" much to see whats going on in New Orleans. I'll have all my goodies on by this Sunday so I look forward to that.

I'm game for a meet. As some of you are aware, Ted (badass7) set up a meet at The Fox & The Hound in Elmwood some time ago. Of course I missed it bc I don't check in here often enough and Ted didn't have my post-Katrina cell number. I sure don't wanna miss another!
