That's kind of the decision I need to make. Do I like the lines enough to leave it on or will I hate it a month from now when the clear coat is affected? Will the zoom zoom sticker I have for it make me feel cool?

I will admit, it's a lot quieter with it on.

Didn't get a chance to go out there yesterday, going to go check it out today when I leave work.

We might have to cancel anyway because of weather. Hadn't had a chance to see what's going on but it looks like what's left of the hurricane isn't done yet.

Only a 3 car show up yesterday... No rotor love in NOLA it seems

Was a good turn out if you owned a corvette or mustang though...

I am pulling my engine and looking for a rebuild capable shop in the area. Any suggestions are appreciated! Sorry if this is the wrong forum! Also, I am looking for a sticky on how to compression test an engine block out of the bay using a standard piston test gauge (with the appropriate part removed). Thanks, and again sorry if I am posting in the wrong forum. please feel free to direct me.

I think Hesselrode know a place in NOLA, I plan to ship mine off for a rebuild.

Sorry as far as I know you can't do a compression test with the engine removed. You need the rpms and psi to know how bad the engine really is.

Where are you located?

I am in Baton Rouge. I had it tested at the dealership after I tried rebuilding it myself, and they said it wasn't holding. However, they were not very specific on numbers or where the issue might lie. They just offered to put in a factory engine for 9K... I am hoping I can do a bit better than that! I pulled the block today, and if I can't find anything closer I will have Rotary Resurrection rebuild it. I have been in contact with him already. I would REALLY like to find someone more qualified than myself to put it back in though!

I've in stalled a engine into a FC before and a couple of other cars, never a 8. I know Hesselrode knows how, try contacting him.
