Go to a hardware store, Lowes or Home Depot, and go to the pipe insulation section. Find the smallest diamter stuff the have. Buy a 6 foot section of it, that will be plenty. I think the kind I used was also the sticky kind, where the edges have sticky stuff applied and will stick together after the paper is removed.
Just cut and fit around the AC line leading into the passenger compartment. I also used zip ties to secure the insulation.
Honestly, my AC didn't seem any colder, but this is one of those "feel good" mods. You can also get the expensive insulation sold in Summitt, Jegs, etc. This stuff is reflective and surely a better insulator, but for the cost and simplicity I chose the hardware store method.

I don't get why anyone would want to drift an RX. I'll admit, letting the backend slide out is always fun (although, always dangerous), but when you've got a 50/50 weight distribution along with a torque band that performs flawless power-over cornering by just flooring it around every turn, why would you want to anything other than grip'n'rip around a bend, ya know?
Meh. Not my cup of tea, I guess.

^^do you even drink tea Nick? muhaha i kid i kid. How do ya like the suspension?
I should have the cast off on the 14th if everything goes well and start physical therapy. A part of my physical therapy (my own physical therapy) will be driving my car around again~!! See you all soonish!!

Heh - no, I don't drink tea. It's too healthy. ![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The suspension is amazing. I don't know how you brought yourself to part with it.
Hope all goes well with the recovery and we see you before the end of September

lol trust me - you aren't going to tear up your tires unless you drift the entire course all 4 runs... which you won't, so don't worry about it

I'll just say this - when I was showing you guys my suspension I was driving at about 60-70% my usual intensity. Those tires have about 8000 miles on them, and they still pass inspection with flying colors.
Legend pushed his car so hard that he flew off the track on some of his runs, and his tires are still drivable.
Your tires will be fine - trust me.
