Northwest Arkansas Rotary Meet
#29
I'd be interested in meeting up sometime. I just bought an RX8 a couple of weeks ago. I've been wanting one for a long time and after breaking up with the bf (I'm a girl, just to clarify ), it seemed like the perfect time.
Of course I'm already dealing with a CEL, a temp control/thermostat issue and will be in need of new tires soon, but once I get these things sorted out, I'll be up for a drive.
Doesn't sound like anyone is this far north, but I'm in the Bella Vista/Bentonville area. Stock, white GT.

71 is a blast until you hit Greenland. Then it's 35 mph limits and stoplights. I went through 71 on Friday and got stuck behind a fleet of rvs headed to the lake. The tunnel is the best part of 540 imo.

Oh for sure. We could go down 71 to Alma while it is still light outside and then head back up 540 to Faytown bc it's is a safer drive at night and then could eat anywhere! Artist Point is between Winslow and Mountainburg and is one if the best views in Arkansas!

Ok guys and gal Myself and Jen (Impulse8) are meeting at the big truck stop at the Greenland exit on I-540 on Friday at around 6ish. We are gonna ride south in Hwy 71 because that road is MUCH safer during the day. We are then gonna come back north on I-540 from Alma to Fayetteville and have dinner and a drink! Anyone and everyone with an RX-7 or RX-8 are welcomed to join!

I just now saw this, and my brother-in-law live in Hot Springs and we travel up there every few months to visit usually. I wouldn't mind hitting up a meet if something were going on and we could make it to the area.

I am going to be there. I have to adjust all my levels, and I believe I should be fine. My 8 is smelling strongly of antifreeze.
Edit: aaaaand, that should have been taken more seriously beforehand. :P

Sorry I couldn't make it.
I guess I am more interested in the original "big" meet, if you will. I don't have an RX8, but I do have a 93' RX7. I'm in Dallas, but would love to have a meet up there. The next time I know for sure I will be up there is for Thanksgiving, as I have family that lives up there. I hope something can be worked out, I'd love to meet up with you rotorheads! :-)

I want to do more meets. This last one was just a convenient drive for the hell of it. It was perfect timing. The weather was great and the trees are just the right shade of everything. I saw a couple of RX8's and several RX7's on the drive so I am sure we might have snagged a few people's attention.
We can't start a movement standing in place.

Awesome! I wish I could have made it out Friday. I had an employee quit Thursdays out of the blue and had to cover his shift on Friday. Are we thinking weekly or monthly meets? I usually, unless something ridiculous comes up, always have Friday off. So if we plan a meet again soon Fridays are perfect days for me. I'll update my thread on RX7club as well with whatever the details end up being. Also, did anyone take any pics?
