Question Novice Driver course in CenTex corridor?

Looking for a "Novice Drivers School" to improve my confidence in driving my 8. Spokes (Austin/CenTex SCCA club) had a Novice Drivers School in May, but my car wasn't through the breakin period, so I passed on it. Anyone know of something similar in the central Texas corridor in the next couple of months?

Thanks
AT

There's a novice school in San Antonio on June 20. You can try them. It's going to be at Windsor Park mall.

Also Check out The Driver's edge. They usually run something a couple of times a year at the speedway in College Station (can't remember the correct name)

Texas World Speedway - College Station
and of course there is Texas Motor Speedway near Fort Worth.

also there is EDP Racing (open track days on Thursdays... less instructions, more seat time.. not bad if you like to learn by experience.

I want some "expert advice" in car first. Unfortunately, hobbies are colliding on the weekends and work is to hectic for weekdays. Gonna have to wait awhile. But Thanks! for all the suggestions.

I second checking out The Drivers Edge. They run at TWS in College Station, Motorsport Ranch (West of Ft. Worth), Texas Motor Speedway (the Nascar track just North of Ft. Worth), and the other occasional track. This is a very good group of guys to work with, and Rick is very particular about getting good instructors, and having people keep within the rules.

What I really want is the Performance Driving School that BMW puts on...with their cars! I'd hate to do some of that with my personal car, but its pretty much what I want from a driving school...extreme handling experience.

you know, anything with EXTREEEMMMEE has got to be good :p
