*clears throat* OK then, back to the RX8....
Was wondering if I could get suggestions on tires and brakes. pretty soon the sandstorm beauty is going to need new front brake pads and new front tires...
(The bfgoodrich kdw's on the back have done great on wear and traction, but they are so fracking loud that I can't stand them, looking for something with equal wear, traction, and price, but without the noise: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....odClar=Touring)
I was thinking about these two:
Tires:

Brakes:

And I fully agree on the brakes. I've got those and have been very pleased with them. The problem is, they aren't much "harder" than what I had on before, so I've still got some buildup on my brake rotors.

As far as brakes go, Hawk HPS are an excellent choice. Had them on before mazda gave me oem stuff and they started squealing again. Never had any issues with the Hawks though..

Update on my dead 8, it's still dead Had some free time at the beginning of the week so thought I would clean some stuff up, further look into the lower intake manifold seems dog legging it to get to a safe to pull over was a bad idea you can literally tell the engine backfired like hell just by the crap inside the manifold. So going to look into getting an RX7 for now. Only question left is should I save up reinforce the trans and mod the the torque converter so I can get an engine setup for FI, or say screw it and leave it NA

lol....
Okay so update:
The calipers I received from Curtis were, well lets just put it this way... Im going to rebuild my Fronts instead of using his, he agreed to toss me my money back.
Right now im waiting for the front brake caliper kit to come in this monday so I can put them back together and get them on my car so I can get my car to Rotary Performance. I need to have my car before the Thanksgiving weekend lol.. so fingers are crossed. On another note my REmedy Oil Pressure regulator came in., Shout out to Paul from Mazmart for fast shipping and a great guy... Fun stuff... Thats it basically for now... will keep this updated

Thomas, as you know I have had my car on jackstands and am currently redoing my brake system. I picked the HP+ pad for Autocross/ some Track use http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/brake...+pads&cat=Pads . I will give you a heads up when my car is up and running but ive heard they are a pretty decent pad, definitely better than the OEM pads.
As for Tires I have the bi-directional Nitto Invo's, which means they should last me 20K (30K for you ) Close to what my Eagle GT's gave me. They have a 260 treadwear and the tread design is pretty aggressive. They have a decent amount of grip but the sidewalls are a little less stiff than the Goodyear Eagle GT's I had on last. Nonetheless just add 3-4 psi to compensate and your good.
Goodluck
