Yeah just seems overly complicated to just plug something, haha. I had some oil residue in the intake (very little, none on the filter) so I decided to grab think when I saw it so cheap shipped. I cleaned my MAF and I will try and slap this on this weekend.

Shouldn't be much if you find a big shop, needs to be bored out to 67.1mm.

Should be easy let me know if you would like a hand.
VS8: If I were trying to take on that project I would Google machine shops in San An and talk to them and see if any of them are willing or have experience in that aspect. Most will at least be able to point you in the correct direction. I just worry that with the amount of work that would go into it you may not be happy with the end result or end up spending as much a comparable rim with no compromises would cost.

gift exchange?
Anyways, I was visiting a friend's place today and something caught my eye when I was walking from my car. I haven't been there in a while so not sure how long it's been there but thought it was kind of cool. Wonder who did it. It's at the Montecito apartments (1604 and hausman).
