Yeah... don't think I'd pay asking price, but I'd say it's a decent deal if you could work it down a bit. I'd much rather pick up a car from Austin than a car from cali, just out of convenience.

I actually looked that one you posted as well. Definitely a nice car as well. Depending on what it would take to safely up the boost on the one I posted and if you could get the price down, I'd honestly probably go with the one more local. That one in cali is pretty nice, but not sure if the extra stuff with that price can justify the extra effort of getting it here. Some reason I get the feeling the price would be more firm on the car in cali, though that's hard to tell.

I came across this one too:

http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=946371

But it looks like it sold already. That would have been a clean car for anyone who wanted to do some significant work under the hood.

Not that it matters... it's not like I'm looking to buy or in a position to, even if I wanted to.

We still on to do the brakes tomorrow? If so, I'm assuming that 11-12 would be a good time to show...

I'm all about getting a **** box for $800 and building it up piece by piece. Good way to get familiar with body work as well.

Well, no one responded so I'll either try texting one of you guys or I'll just head over when I can, unless someone posts by the time I'm up and ready to do ****.

I'm finishing up a paper that's due tomorrow so I can just be done with it, as I don't really see myself wanting to work on it tomorrow, even if I have the day free. Probably wont be finished until at least 5:30 so I may end up sleeping a bit later than I'd like to.... if that's the case, it might be a tad later than 12 when I show up.

e36 1998 M3 Sedan. Often seen parked at UTSA because my son drives it.

It needs a lot of interior work ... I was planning on doing it this summer but with this damage under the hood, my budget is blown. Especially if any cylinders are cooked. Ebay has used M3 motors at around $3000.

I wouldn't get an engine off ebay.

You are better off cracking the engine open and seeing if anything died then replace the parts from people who are parting out engines on the forums. You'll save a ton of money doing that as well.

My buddy moonlights as an e46 mechanic back in Cali, let me know if I can help out at all I'm up in Austin but don't mind making the drive.

How far did you/he drive it with the belt off?

Got on 1604 at Blanco, belt failed . Pulled over and shutdown immediately under the Huebner overpass . About 1/2 mile I guess 30 seconds or so.

Sorry guys I'm not gonna make it to Austin I changed my pads today and the guide pins were frozen on my front Calipers. Looks like I need new Calipers. We broke them free but my brakes aren't working right so I'm not gonna make the drive.

I was able to change my plugs and the power glitch issue is gone so that is good and I fixed teh leaking sensor on my tranny and did a fluid change.

We also did the biggest bitch of a brake job on 8 Maniac's S4. Those Porsche brakes were a ************ but we got it after some cutting

I don't think that's the problem lol

Well, as luck would have it... while we were working on my brakes last night, that fan I ordered arrived at my apartment. I'll have to take a closer look at it, but we may be able to change it out without even removing the front bumper. Routing the wire would be the only issue.

I did that today, flushed the fluid. I am stuck on new wheels studs, these bitches are being a pain so it's slow going. Time for a new air compressor.

It's a very subtle change but I love it.
