Kickstarter looks like a way to raise funds for business ideas. I could have donated money but I basically pre-ordered the device. They get funds up front prior to productions. I get my device before anyone else. Of course I risk that the device will never be produced.

yep cool web site. The watch band i picked up can now be found on lunatik.com I orderd it on kickstarter before the project got off the ground. I got mine in red with a charcoal nano. Its actually held up really well out here. Just got to be careful not to get it wet.

drove the car to work today thinking I might have finally got it to a decent place as far as mechanically, (still needs an alignment but work is only about 7 miles away so...) noticed my a/c making some strange noises. I think I might be having compressor issues so has anyone had this type of problem before? I never have and don't really know what to look for, car seemed to run ok except when the a/c was on it was making some noises I've never heard before and they didn't sound too good at all. I'm at 87-88k on it, could it be out of freon or something? I don't see how it could be since I barely use my a/c, even in texas, if it is on I never have it cranked past 2 but maybe none of that matters?

Doesn't matter what speed the blower (fan) is at the compressor kicks in the same amount regardless.

Sounds like you have low charge to the system.

Mine used to do that I finally found the hose had gotten lose up by the firewall and had a slow leak. If it leaks out enough the compressor will go off on low pressure, that locks up the compressor to prevent further damage.

So all you need to do is find the leak repair it and recharge, I have a tester we can check and see if you have low gas pressure. That would be the simplest fix, anything past that is a pain in the *** and requires more trouble shooting.

When's the next meet up here?

our next club meeting is on the 4th tuesday at mangia's, I'll have some free time this weekend as well, hopefully won't have to work tomorrow, either way it did kind of squeal and that's when I really noticed anything, did seem to blow cold though. I also noticed a burning smell of some type, couldn't tell if it was me or the car in front of me though.

hmmm if its squealing you may have a bad clutch or the belt might be slipping.

I can set aside like an hour or so tomorrow if you want to run through some quick tests. I can come to you or you can come up here, I'm off parmer and 35.

I have a leak in my system, when i fill it, it last a few months. What is the best way of tracking it down? I am going to replace the condenser as well.

Easiest way is to get the fluorescent dye. There's really not many places it can leak from though, so it should be easy to track down.

cool, that'd be awesome, I'm hoping we can get everything done tonight here at work, if not I might have to wait for next weekend or something...ugh

edit: took it out during lunch, car was fine when it was "cold", then waiting in line at chic-fil-a I turned the a/c on again for just a sec to see what would happen and it squeaked, then I turned it off and it kept squeaking. I'm starting to wonder if I have a belt tension issue now. Car seems to be running fine the entire time, it does idle rough and rattles all over the place though so maybe I have an engine mount issue on top of this. Maybe this car was better just as a show car after all, I forgot how fragile and unreliable this car can be..ugh.

In other news, any Sa peeps going to this?

Funny you ask! I have been practicing on my Jaw harp

I think Grunge would make for a good back up for us with his nose flute:
