We're having a drive this weekend, lots of shows going on too. I got my car aligned today so next up will be an attempt at an inspection then I'll be mechanically sound and legal

www.motoraustin.com has a bunch of stuff to check out, probably won't make any of it as I haven't been on a drive in months, so I'm going to find out where "albert texas" is. lol

It looks like the exact same design with the biggest (maybe the only) difference being that it's blue... Seems like a better option than the RR since it's much cheaper and should perform just as well. Make sure the holes are drilled as evenly as possible. When I did mine it didn't line up perfectly when I went to put it back in the car and it made it a bit tricky to get a bolt or two in.

They really shouldn't have taken pictures of the kit on top of what looks to be the instructions for the kit. At first it looked looked like there were a couple of smaller pieces and I couldn't figure out what they were for.

I replaced that front AC fan when I was visiting my parents a couple weeks ago and it seems to have helped out a fair bit. I can at least run my AC most of the time now. I still can't really deal with heavy traffic, which is unfortunate as that mostly happens during the hottest part of the day. The high temperatures we've been seeing lately haven't helped much. I think replacing the other fan should finally take care of my cooling issues. I just wish it wasn't such a pain in the *** to get to.

WAZZUP peeps... did some work on the shinka yesterday. Been having a "rattling" sound going over bumps in the road from the front passenger side since before installing the stechs. Turned out to be the RB endlink had come loose on the control arm and would rattle. I bought these used and just tightened it back up. But the endlink itself seems way loose compared to the stocks or even the RB one on the driver's side. I will probably order new ones from RB soon... Might try emailing them an asking about Warranty on the ones I have...

Isn't Cofee and Cars this coming Saturday???

well holy crap, Metra/Vibe contacted me today about using the car for the HeatWave car show this year, I wasn't going to do any shows this year (save for maybe some small local stuff for giggles) but if I get a booth spot and I can get all the little things fixed in time I might give it a go, nice little pick me up since I've been pretty bummed with car problems and witnessing my friend's car audio/customzing business fail/disintegrate this year etc. I guess time will tell if it all works out, it'll be fun if it does

Actually, I just unplugged everything, sprayed everything with maf cleaner, and then ground it down where there ground wire for the EPS was attached to the chassis and so far, so good. It was very frustrating though, because I had done that once before but it would intermittently go out so I thought it was the actual brain for the EPS but apparently is just needed more cleaning. I was scared i was going to have to replace the whole rack.

Congrats!! What killed your friends business? Just asking in general, don't need specifics.

My guess is lack of business last time I went to a shop to get a performance part was... I always buy online, store fronts especially for car parts are never going to work. Its the wave of the future.

Well it was lack of business for sure, poor location and lack of advertising didn't help much either. Getting parts is one thing, getting quality work done is an entirely different business, buddy of mine does incredible work, his attention to detail is second to none and they had a pretty amazing opportunity with all the Sema exposure from my car, but instead of captilizing on it and really building on that, one of the owners was insanely jealous while the other one was insanely overworked and when the 2 of them had a falling out that was the end of it. I've known both guys for over 20 years, the guy who did the majority of work on my car is still awesome, he found a good job working for the city and is happy with a new girlfriend and everything, but the other guy....not so much.

yeah it's unfortunate but it's all good, the guy who busted his *** and was legit with everyone is the guy prospering now, the guy who was selfish and jealous and greedy etc. is the one who's not doing so hot, good lesson in what comes around goes around

Shitty! Yea I've been trying to find a shop that will roll my fenders out here and cant seem to find anyone.

If you are doing installs and stuff that is different, you could potentially make some cash doing that.

Soulspeed rents a fender roller, they might actually do the fenders as well but I forgot to ask when I got my alignment done. I also have a bodyshop buddy that can do them as well, i don't know if he does it on the side or if you have to go through his shop (Rebreu on Kramer ln, stone's through from lamar), I can find out for you though, same guy did the work on my car (door handles, interior finish work) and also did some work on 2tone's car when he still had it.

Awesome thanks man!

I'll look up soul speed and see what they are charging.

I gotta wait a while, want to get my wheels powdercoated before I get the fenders rolled.
