I hear ya' on that one, with mine being grounded I've been getting all kinds of mini-projects done, it's been fun type work too, not stressful repair type work like my truck

I don't know of any I'd recommend, there is a shop called sideways auto salon that I think does some painting and such on the side but to be honest, this town (like most places) is a place where you really do get what you pay for so if you go somewhere cheaper you're going to get cheaper (and eventually more expensive results from having to fix the mistakes) results, it's just not worth the hassle really. I have a friend of mine that paints and he would probably do it on the side for you but he's fallen off the face of the earth and I can't find him.

this place is probably even more pricey but may be worth a call anyway

I just noticed this place listed annihilator customs as a business partner.....ugh....crap. I guess you can still call and see but I don't recommend them at all based upon that affiliation.

http://www.sidewaysautosalon.com/index.html

Yeah, sorry to say to get good results it is going to cost a little more, there are other places in town but I don't know/trust their work, I do know annihilator is joke and I wouldn't let them or anything associated with them within a million yards of my car.

Hill Country Customs in New Braunfels recently repaired my 7's rear bumper. Came out perfect and the staff is really nice. I know its out of town for you but if you want a legit shop check them out.

If you want to make a trip man, My friend Matt Loredo at Loredo paint & body can hook you up. He has done my car, Rtres09's R3 (pretty bad), 8 Maniac's RX-8 (lot's of damage), Hoss-05's RX-8 (door, bumper, etc.), SWG's Jeep Compass (bad deer wreck), and numerous of my bosses cars (Porsche Panamera, Porsche Cayanne S, AMG C63, AMG CL63, AMG S55, Acura MDX SH, etc., etc.) and all have come out perfect. They exclusively do all the work for BMW, Porsche, and Boerne Mercedes of SA and honestly other than a small paint bubble on Hoss-05's car (getting fixed) the work has been perfect.

If you pay cash, you can get a sweet deal if you know what I mean. You would just have to make a road trip

Well I got the SUV rental for the next month so I can bring the parts down whenever, he wont be able to paint match but I'm not to worried about that.

I hear ya, I just don't like people supporting places that ruin cars, pretty much the same reason I'm always bitching and moaning about replica companies
Sounds like there are some good options for you out of town even though probably not as convenient but if it's significantly cheaper then maybe that's a good way to go as long as the work is legit.

I'm going over there next week, email me some pictures of what you have and the WB paint code and I will get you a quote. He painted my bumper/lip off the car and you really can only tell under florescent lights under certain conditions if you are **** like me.

I just got woke up by my ******* neighbors dumbfuck son puking in the yard, I thought someone was in the driveway, he is lucky he didn't get his head busted.

Time to play some COD

I'm with ya on that, honestly most of the work was spent on removing and installing the parts and stripping the bumper of paint. They wouldn't warranty the work if I did it myself. I am going to ask Gene if I can just drop the parts off and sign a warranty waiver.

I'll snap some pics the bumper still needs to be stripped and all that junk I might get to that this weekend depending on what kinda trouble I get into.

You should play COD on your neighbors son with a paintball gun.

Jack's Paint Place

My Shinka is now missing half of its front bumper and lord only knows what has happened under my car. So with that, who knows a shop in San Antonio? I have no problem driving up to Austin, but my car in this shape it's not exactly on the top of my list of things to do. I want my car to go to the right place, and if it isn't here in SA, then I understand. Please HELP ME. You can call or text if you need, 206-473-9669. I want to start the process today(Friday).
Sorry to hear about the tire. I'm very picky about finish work. Very. Over the past 18 years since I moved to the area my family has had a couple of shops work on our vehicles. I'm not a big fan of Alamo... decent paint, but shady mechanical. There are a few others, but by far the absolute best place I’ve been to or seen in the area is Jack’s Paint Place near Judson HS. Jack and his family are personally involved in all the work. Their color match is perfect, to include the metallic.

I had a 1.5 ton flatbed truck run over an aluminum ladder on Hwy-90 a couple years back and that ladder was sprayed across my passenger side. Busted glass, deep gouges, etc. Jack rebuilt my 8 to perfection. They’ve done show car paint. They’ve even done custom rods. At this point, they are the only shop in the San Antonio area that I will take my cars to because if I’m going to spend my money, then I want the job done right. With insurance, they don’t cost any more than an OK shop, but they are craftsmen who take pride in their work.

So first off, Thank you all for your recommendations. After talking to USAA and getting a couple PM's I've decided to take it to Loredo out in Boerne. I took it out on Friday to get an estimate and met with Matt. We talked a little bit about the work he has done for the club and said he would make sure he took care of me. I'm hoping getting the parts won't take as long as it did for the R3 they worked on. Either way, I really appreciate the texts, calls, and PM's. I'm off on Friday's now, so I will make sure I make it out to the new meeting location. Maybe one night we can grab drinks at the restaurant I work at, and I'll pick up the tab for appetizers.

That pic needs to be bigger... I don't know how he expects us to recognize the place with a picture that small.
