One other question, is is true freon can evaporate over time? My a/c isn't blowing cold anymore, I can hear the compressor kick on but no bueno on the cold air action, I just recently replaced my a/c controls with a used unit, could that cause something like that? Could it just be out of freon? I'm at a hair over 88k mileage wise.

It was hot as crap at the HeatWave, hardly any Mazda's out there but a ton of z's, scions, and bigger than buildings wheels rolling around, I got 1st but I'm not even sure if I had anybody else in my class
could be the AC Amplifier...

The build date isn't on the inside of the door anymore as they've been reshot inside and out when we shaved the handles etc. so all the stickers were removed. I'll have to look into the ac amplifier deal, I didn't know if mine even had that to be honest since it's an 04, pretty ignorant on that stuff as I've never had any problems with my ac up until recently.

My wife's 04 LY had it replaced right after we bought it a couple years back. Was replaced under the car lots 3 mon 3000 mi warr. It runs around $500 for the unit. My brother needed one for his 05 GT and got one from a salvage yard for $50...

I thought my ac amp went out it was actually just the controller under the radio.

Once I replaced it boom cold AC again.

I got a gauge we can check your pressures if you want.

yeah the one I have in there is used from another car so it's definitely not ruled out. I really don't drive the car a lot and even when I had it as a daily driver I didn't crank the a/c 24/7 so maybe it's something really simple.

well the compressor wont kick in if you are low on charge. so its most likely your controls.

I think you're right, I just tried the reprogram thing and nothing happened, turned it on and it was blowing pseudo cold, of course it's in a garage and the engine's not warmed up yet. I did turn the temp **** to see if it would go cold to hot etc. and nothing happened, engine wasn't fully warmed up but it wasn't fully cold either, I would think the heat should have come on and it didn't so yeah, I'm probably going to bite the $$$ bullet and buy all new controls and if it still acts up after that, at least I would have eliminated that possibility and I'll have piece of mind with new controls as well.

So I got my car back from Loredo! They did an excellent job. Took a little bit to get the right part in, but once it got there, they did an awesome job. Matt helped me out some and has recommended some shops to help my grandpa restore his 72 Nova.

On another note, does anyone here locally have bass tube or sub in their car? I want to add one, but don't want to change my head unit or do anything too crazy. I saw the custom box from the shop in Florida that I'll probably get. I have the amp and possibly the sub(not sure if I want to get a new one and just give my wife the Memphis 12). Anyways, who did your work? Did you do it? If so, wanna help with mine? As with the body of my car, I don't want to trust anyone that you guys wouldn't trust again.

Bkg talk to my hubby..Cornholio we both have systems in our car and did not touch the original radio. Cornholio is the one around us who helps and or installs the stereo equipment. He use to do this back in the day as his job..so he knows how to install correctly and NO wires sticking out everywhere.

Oh yeah... i think you still need an amp install kit and line convertor???

on another note, my office is upstairs at an office building on broadway. downstairs is a private gym. we look out the window and a client has a grey Audi R8 parked outside. While we are looking out the window at the car, Tim Duncan gets in the R8 and drives off....

Awesome, when I met him he was driving a Dodge Mega Cab Ram truck but told me he tracks a GT-R and I know he has a custom resto mod 69' Camaro as well. I wonder just how many cars he has.

My bosses daughter is friends with Sean Elliot's daughter and Sean Elliot came to his house to pick her up in new Audi S8. I would love to daily an S8. An all wheel drive four door sedan with a Lambo V-10 = A fun drive to work.

I've seen him in a silver SRT-10 but hes had that for years so he may not have it anymore, and his GTR is white (Friend installed stereo at Custom Sounds). Does he really track it? I wonder where he takes it.
