$2,800 FOR TRANS REBUILD.
Damn scammers.
they advertise 900 dollar rebuild etc.
then call me and say it will be 2,800 and parts are already ordered.
i said wait a sec i never authorized that and there response was
well if you don't pay a lien will be placed on the vehicle?
It's all good they don't no my sisters fiance's bro ( Justin Coquat ) is a big lawyer here in s/a
so people we will see if they fix it by monday like they said and if not it's ***** to the wall from there. will sue the **** out of them.

But I am sure either he or his wife (also a lawyer) can help you. What a small town.You should have researched about rebuilding RX-8 transmission. Did you even listen to anything we have been trying to tell you?

$2800 doesn't sound too bad to me. Eurasian Auto Repair rebuilt a transmission for me for $2000 on a Caravan. This was the same price as the lowest price i could find on a re-manufactured transmission. I will eventually need one on my M3 because i know it leaks and I think they said it would cost about 2800.

A typical auto trans rebuild is around 2k. But a quick search shows quite a few low mileage RX8 auto trannys both four and six speeds for around $1,000.00.
For example:
This is out of a 2006 with 41k in Houston for less than $800.00 with a 90 day warranty.

And i am paying for it hahah...
I already found a used trans for 800 shipped.
but this shop said they could rebuild for cheaper. then without my authorization
ordered everything.
I did not agree to pay 2,800 but if i don't they will put a lien on my ride.
so i will just have them fix it. and take a loss no biggy.
