I just might.

Quite honest rx-8's are ******* awesome but pieces of **** at the same time.

Thousand's of engine failures, Trans problems, Electrical problems,

Thousands of problems that you NEVER Really hear / read about with other cars ( Piston engines )

Does that mean they don't happen? no,
But the RX-8 is just total ***** to the wall ****.

Eh... you bought the worst possible combo for this car and you got it for dirt cheap knowing there were issues. Don't blame the car for your choices. Same goes for the transmission... that also has to be related to the rebuild, not the car itself.

It definitely sounds like getting away from that car would be a good move. By the time it's all said and done, you will have spent enough time and effort to have justified buying a regularly priced 8.

Transmission Problems = shitty *** 3,000 dollar rebuild!!
( i can see myself taking them to court )

Most likely they won't want to honor there warranty.

I got approved for a 09 8.

I might do that seeing i get the warranty etc.

But still have to do something with this car,
4,000 for it right now is not a bad deal at all.

It runs almost perfect in auto mode,

Have you tried to see what they would offer you for trade-in value? You might get a good enough offer with that.

Otherwise, I'd recommend posting in the classifieds section or on craigslist. Most people in this thread already have an 8, so I don't think you'll have much luck in here.

I tried to warn you about the transmission. There is a reason dealers replace (not rebuild) the automatic transmissions. You bought a car for $1300.00 and you expect it to be a picture of reliability? Seriously man, just use it as a trade in on a Mustang or something and say goodbye to rotary ownership.

I didn't do it. I would have pushed the auto aspect a little harder.

like stated above... As of right now it's not the car that's being un-reliable.
I am sure if they did the job right the trans would work fine
